Uses solar to charge.
You need to plan the location to mount the item so you can slide the unit on the mounting plate and remove it if the rechargeable battery needs to be replaced. The wire between the solar panel and the light could be stronger and thicker to me but works.

Does Everything Well Except One Major Flaw
I bought a couple of these to get some security light at night at two areas of the house that did not have an existing electric light where a typical wired security light could be installed. I saw these and read the reviews about how bright it is and simple to install. I bought them and sure enough they were bright and easy to install. Then a couple times my wife noticed that the light did not come on during the night when she walked the dog in the areas where the security lights were installed. I also experienced it and was perplexed. I looked over the manual and noticed I missed an obvious flaw these lights have. There are three modes these lights have. None of them (repeat... NONE of them) prevent the light from activating when the sun is up. I realized that each time the lights did not come on at night happened to also be when I had vendors working during the day in the areas where the security lights were.I did not use common sense (I take responsibility) and assumed (a bad word) that security lights come on only at night since (1) all the other outdoor security lights I bought only came on at night (motion or not) and (2) I cannot picture a scenario where someone would actually want a battery powered security light charged by solar to come on when the sun is beaming down in all its glory.Well apparently LEPOWER felt that it was wise to make a battery powered security light for outdoor that is charged by sun (solar powered) and also comes on when the sun is up hence draining the battery if motion occurs. So if you have a vendor doing anything in the daytime near the security light that sets off the motion, the battery will slowly drain while the vendors are doing what they do and you will most likely have no power at night. To be clear, I am talking open yard... lunch time... 1 PM... 2 PM... 3 PM... sun everywhere... no shade.I know I assumed and accept responsibility, which means I have to eat the cost of these lights; however, who in the world thought it was a good idea to make an outdoor solar security light - using a battery to save what power it collects during the day - and decided it would be FANTASTIC if the light also comes on during the day in bright sunlight if motion is detected? And of course the "executive decision" to make sure that there was no setting to prevent the light from coming on when there is already so much sunlight available that it can charge the battery. How is that a good idea? When in history has a burglar walked up to a house in broad daylight, saw a battery-powered security light comes on at 1 PM in the afternoon, and decided it was best to leave the area since the battery-powered security light came on while standing in the yard where everyone could clearly see the burglar in (again) broad daylight?I really wanted to like these lights considering the reviews, but this idea of a battery-powered security light activated during daylight makes no sense to me. Why did no one in leadership at the company stop and ask the obvious question about why the light is coming during the day when the sun is out when it should be conserving what little solar power it has captured so it can come on at NIGHT when the sunlight is gone?If you are one of those people who feel like you want the outdoor security light to come on when the sun is up, I will further add that I can easily trigger the motion on the security light then stand practically a foot away from the light and see no extra illumination anywhere when the sun is out. The lumens cranked out by this light at night is nice, but it is not going to help you see anything you already are seeing during regular daytime hours.
