Sage SBL002 the Vac Q™ - Silver

Effective in pumping air out of a Sage blender jar (compatible ones only). No foam on blended mixture when blended with air pumped out. Should not be used with mixes where air bubbles are essential, though, like milk shakes. The blender jar must be air tight, so the inner cup (the one coming with the pump, which you put on top of the lid of the jar) needs tightened on top of the lid, as well as the spout cover on the lid of the jar needs firmly clipped.

As many other people have noted, this does not form a proper seal therefore no vacuum is produced. Tried time and time again; watched on-line videos etc. Seems to be a common fault. Not properly engineered. Rubbish. O, and by the way, most of our smoothies involve milk, and for those, it's best to not use a vacuum in any event. Returned.

Only bought this to go with the fresh and furious blender which I returned so I didn’t need it. But it seemed to work well.

Overpriced. Item just plastic and runs on batteries, a big disappointment

I purchased the Sage Super Q Blender mainly because of the vacuum pump option with this accessory. However, unfortunately the vacuum insert which secures into the top of the main blender lid does not have a secure fitting (unlike the main insert cap) and thus securing a reliable vacuum seal became almost impossible and hugely frustrating. Some days it worked, others it didn't. When it worked, the job was done well but I cannot live with a device which doesn't deliver 100% or even 90% of the time - this was more like a 1:10 chance of it working and I was making smoothies 2 x per day with it.I have returned the vacuum pump as the item is defective (it doesn't complete the function it was purchased for) and waiting for a refund, but due to COVID my parcel is still in transit and taking much longer than usual due to COVID, so still waiting for a refund.Sage need to make major improvements to this accessory for it to be a worthwhile investment.
