This is very light weight. Thought it might get blown away by Hurricane Hilary but it hung in there. It has been accurate, still accurate after a full day sand storm. Easy to read, just wish it read below 100 instead of 110. I need to move out of AZ. My only worry is the paper will deteriorate under high temperatures and low humidity. We will see how long it lasts, but so far it is working well.

This thermometer is used in our greenhouse (which, obviously gets quite hot). While many thermometers max out at 120F; this thermometer maxes out at 140F - which was important to me. Thus far, the thermometer seems accurate in the 60 - 120F range (comparing it to other thermometers in the same space). Have not had an opportunity to test whether its accuracy is also good in the cooler/cold temperature range. Another feature I like is the large, simple, easy-to-read numerals. There's no fancy script or background picture to distract from reading the thermometer from a distance.

I question the accuracy of this thermometer but have not given it a rigorous test or tried to calibrate it. I do understand that I can adjust it and may elect to do that eventually. My immediate need was to simply know about how warm/cool it is on a porch and am unconcerned with accuracy. So a very cheap thermometer attracted my eye.Very light and easy to mount most anywhere.Huge numerals make it easy to read from a distance of 15 feet (hey it's cold and I'm not going out there to see the thermometer).Slow to respond as expected for a bi-metal thermometer.Want a cheap thermometer? Works great right out of the box. Looks nice, easy to read. Not the highest quality but I knew that by the price. I would recommend mounting under a covered patio and add a little dab of silicone behind to help secure. I read all the reviews on this item and half love it half hate it. I’m on the love it side. I just wanted a outdoor thermometer I could read from inside my home. By the way I didn’t have to adjust anything, it works great. Highly recommend.

I ordered two for my patios. Shipped well, no damage. They get different readings from each other. I kept them in the house a couple days to compare readings to my atomic clock and thermostat. One was pretty close to house readings the other was about 3 degrees warmer. I kept them since I can just figure the 3 degree difference 😊

Returned the first one I was sent, thinking that because the temperature shown was at least 8 degrees off the actual temperature, it had a manufacturing defect. Sadly, the replacement has the same defect, so it seems the error tolerance advertised (+ or - 2 degrees) is far less than the actual error baked into these devices.And contrary to what I read in one of the reviews, there is no "error correction screw" on the back of the device.The thing is nice looking, but if you want anything close to a correct temperature reading, look elsewhere.

My dad's old their mometer finally came apart and he needed a new thermometer that he could read from a distance just because. So since I am his Amazon resident expert I showed him a selection and then ordered it for him hoping he would not be disappointed. He was in fact thrilled with the gift which offers the temperature on both Fahrenheit and centigrade scales and even provides a humidity index. Home run!

It keeps an accurate temperatures: warm or cold. What it records is exactly what my digital thermometer says. The only problem is that I just wish that it were a little larger and numbers a just a bit bigger so they can be read more easily. I have it attached to a tree about 18 feet from the house and the numbers are hardly legible.
