I bought this celtic salt to use as I drink water since Barbara O’Neil recommends taking some before your water so water gets in the cell. It came in on time and has lasted forever!

Great taste, pure flake salt, no metals.

I bought this because I was using Celtic Sea Salt for years until I saw the LEAD SAFE MAMA lab tests that showed that had a heavy metal. This salt did not have any heavy metals (when last tested). I first ordered it here on Amazon, but later found the 1 lb. canisters at a local grocery for $12. Note, these canisters here are 0.75 lb. Also, the Italian version from the same company did have at least one heavy metal. So, only the US salt from this brand is safe (according to last tests).

This kosher/sea salt is sourced from the waters of Netarts Bay on the Oregon coast. It's ideal for everyday cooking, roasting, pickling, brining, seasoning, etc. It has a clean/briny flavor and a delicate/fluffy texture.

Tamara @ Lead Safe Mama has tested this brand as free of heavy metals as shown on her site. I was shocked at the poor results of other popular brands That was all the endorsement I needed. I rarely use salt. But good to have on hand for other family members who do and for the recipes I make for others. Pretty pricey for the size of the container. I'm sure it's cheaper elsewhere. The only reason it looses a star, is because it can be clumpy when shaking out if you don't really give the box a good shake before using.

Take note of the size you are ordering. I was surprised at how small it was for the price. However, the quality is good. Also note that these are indeed flakes. I was recommended this by someone I trust. Clean salt and tastes great.
