Legrand radiant TM870WSLCC10 15 Amp Rocker Wall Switch with Locator Light, Single Pole Decorator Light Switches, White (1 Count)

I like the illumination of this switch. It is very faint, but does not look tacky as some other illuminated switches do. I also like the ability to backwire. (not backstab).

Wish the light was just a little bit brighter, but it is good enough when it is totally dark and I'm trying to locate the switch. Beats running my hand all over the wall to find it. This is in a bathroom where a brighter light would of been fine, but I would buy these again for a bedroom as the light is so dim it would be perfect in a sleeping room, so as not to bother your sleep. I have bought several Legrand products and they are always of good quality.

Seems like a good quality switch, considering the price. Solid snap when you throw it. Not silent but not very loud.Took off one star because the locator LED is extremely TINY. I mean like the size of a sharp pencil dot. First pic shows the switch with a little stray light shining on it. Second is the same shot in total darkness. Technically, you can see it in the dark, but you almost have to know to be looking for it. Seriously, how much would it have taken to make that light twice the size, which would have been far more useful? It'll work, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I am a Master Electrician. THIS Legrande switch is made for use with LED bulbs. Other pilot light switches probably won't work. Save your time and money, buy this for LED's. It does not need a neutral, only a power wire and the "switched" wire to your lights.NOTE: the pilot is ON when the switch is OFF. This helps you find the switch in the dark.This pilot light is tiny and dim white. In normal light you probably have to get right next to it to see that it is on. At night there is a soft glow from the tiny pin prick from the LED. If you have one of these near a bedroom and are sensitive to light at night....This is the switch to get.

Legrand makes quality switches and outlets. I purchased these to replace the standard run of the mill cheap switches my contractor purchased. They work great.

As others have commented... the light is very small. But I find it perfect for my use - in the almost total darkness of my bedroom the light is plenty bright enough to distinguish the switch from the one beside it. So now in the middle of the night I turn on the correct switch (for the closet) instead of accidentally hitting the other switch that turns on the lights for the entire room and wakes up both me and my wife. There's really no need for a brighter or larger light.

Installation was a bit of a pain when wrapping wires around the screws as the screws will completely go inside of the housing when the slightest pressure is placed on them. Half of the install was getting under these screws. The settings and adjustments allowed us to tune the dimmer to work with the existing lights and avoid flicker. We notice that they hate running with our generator and frequently cut off entirely at random and the dimmer will stop working. They're fine with mains power, however.

I know many people have purchased these thinking the entire rocker paddle illuminated at night, however that is not the case. There is a pinhole sized LED just above the rocker that illuminates in the darkness. At first, I wasn't too thrilled about it, however, I love them now! The small LED keeps the switch looking very chic during the day and at night illuminates sufficiently to allow you to find the light switch. Additionally, the tactile feel on the rocker is excellent and smooth. It will not randomly toggle on and off.
