Excellent bits. I had bought a set of gold colored titanium bits from Sears thinking Craftsman was good. Well they broke pretty easy and get dull fast and are hard to sharpen with the pilot tip without special tools. I decided to try this set as it was not one of the cheaper ones, I figured with the competition out there, it has to be better than the cheaper ones. My gamble paid off! These bits are for professional everyday use. I used then a lot in my metal fabrication shop and I have not broken one yet! And it takes a bit of drilling before they need sharpening. I have a Drill Doctor sharpening tool which sharpens them great. I recently had to drill a bunch of holes on a sheet of stainless steel and used one bit for the job. It did quite a bit of holes before needing to be sharpened. This is my second set for another job site. Buy with confidence.

Only negative thing is the flimsy holder. The largest bits are in front, so most of the time I have to struggle to look in the middle or rear. There is no pull handle so I made a hook from a piece of stiff wire to grab the front lsyer of bits. All 3 layers move in tandem; you cannot move the layers separately, making it difficult to pick out bits from the middle layer. I expected better on a $100 drill bit set.In the other hand, the bits themselves reek of quality. The are coated with oil, and feel razor sharp; several times I thought I cut myself just handling them!Love the bits. Hate the case.

This is a superb drill bit set. It is sharp and accurate, especially in my drill press. Even in my hand drill, these bits are far more accurate than the cheap branded sets from the Orange or Blue big box stores. They just cut cleanly and smoothly. What more could you want? They're expensive, but I have no doubt they'll last. If you're a remodeler or a contractor and super hard on your tools they're probably not worth it. But for a woodworker totally worth the spend.

Look like good drill bits. They are marked on the shank with HSS, C-L, USA and fractional sizes. Nice huot drill index (USA made). they appear to be a good set. I have a set of Matco, and ALFA cobalt bits and I got these to use in a drill press for general purpose work so my good bits wouldn't get dull and broken or missing. After I use them, I'll update my review. So far they look good and the tips are evenly ground and finely finished. I checked them against some good import bits from Drill America, and these C-L bits are much finer and have well centered tips with no tooling marks visible 5x magnifier.

The case is junk. It came broken and not fixable. The drills are ok. They drill very well in mild steel. But they dull quickly in stainless. I was hoping for better.

I like this set of bits. It's possible they aren't the highest quality, but i'm not drilling holes for the space shuttle or anything. What's nice is the bit holding aspect of the box accounts for the bottoms of the bits when you lean each section out. You can easily pick a bit, then put it back without the holders binding due to the longer bits gumming up the works.I have another set of bits I got from another site which are fair, but it's such a pain to fold everything up to close the case due to all bits sliding to the bottom and then you can't fold the thing shut. You sort of have to tip it upside down to close it.
