Absolutely garbage
I bought 2 of these for my boat rods. Both do not work after about 5 times of use. I highly recommend you shop for a better reel. These are absolutely garbage

Best reel for your money, light,dependable, smooth
This reel is awesome. I live near Lake Mead and the fish are around 100 ft. This reel gets down to the proper depth and works better than my Dawai.

Bought two of these last year. They both failed miserably. Internal gears are garbage.
One lasted about two fishing trips (deep water trolling) the other lasted about four trips. They both locked up when reeling in fish. The internal gears must be cheap plastic. They look nice and the price was great but these reels are garbage. You get what you pay for.

Best line counter reel for the price forsure.
I was suprised at the quality of this reel for the price. The gears are a bit sloppy, but it looks great and functions as intended. I would definately purchase another one.

This Sougayilang reel manufactured.
I fell in love with this reel for the depth counter, but the first time I tried deep-sea fishing with it I had a problem with the on-and-off lever, it keep getting stuck. I wasted a lot of time trying to get the lever to move while people around me were pulling up fish. I was not a happy camper that day. I purchased another reel from a different manufacturer to make sure I have a backup if the problem persists with this Sougayilang reel. When I go fishing I want to be fishing. Well the Sougayilang manufacturer read my review and came through in a big way, by sending me a replacement reel. I'm back in love with Sougayilang I'm going fishing July 15,2023 and I'm so eager to put this bad boy to use. Thank you thanks.

nice line Counter Reels for The Money
Level wind, line counter version. Loaded them with 50 LB braided lines (I am using this reel for inshore trolling/bottom fishing).I've used it once, and already very happy with it. It seems to have a solid drag, smooth casting and an overall rigidity (a good one!) not found in most reels in this price point. The big handle is very comfortable for fighting big fish.The ones I purchased have the line counter on them, which allows me to know when the baits are close to the bottom - where I find most strikes occur.The star drag is easy to adjust and overall reel size is just right for 6'-7' med heavy rods.I hope it will deliver long-lasting use and reliability with proper cleaning and maintenance, if any status change, I will update the review.
