Bought this for my boyfriend who likes to leave a stick of butter on a plate on the counter. He has 2 small daughters that I was sure would get a kick out of it.It is ceramic/painted. So can be broken but, very cute on the countertop

Butter dish.
The top an bottom do not fit perfectly. Still even with that. I still love it!

Love my dachshund butter dish!
Butter dish is exactly as pictured. Large space for butter and lid fits perfectly over it. Super cute and exactly as pictured. This product is not airtight at all, though. I use my butter fairly quickly so it's not necessarily getting bad before I can use it. But again not airtight. I love it!
