Must-have for web devs
Fantastic book - well written, practical examples ( that I usually skip ), great depths into explaining different concepts. One thing that stands out is how the author starts by stating what it's going to be covered in the following section, and also the summaries at the end of each ones. Great detail to writing.Chris goes into great detail explaining the ecosystem around microservices, as well as most patterns one will usually encounter out there in the wild.Something that is slightly off for me is the fact that the author promotes his library/framework throughout this book - however, it's being used for the examples. The other available options are mentioned as well and the author is transparent about the fact that his stack is being used - only a rather sensible choice.

Good guide for building microservice architecture application.
Chris has laid down all the necessary points required to be considered while building a microservice architecture application. His knowledge of each topic is quite extensive. I recommend this book to use for guidance while building any microservice application.

Lots of trade-off discussion and options presented for most subjects
Read about half the chapters so far and theory wise there is alot of benefit to be gained from reading the book. Lots of conversation about trade offs between different option presented in different situations (ex benefits/drawbacks of using orchestrators for business logic that depends on many async requests with dependencies, comparison of async and sync requests and sub-options as well)Didn't find the code examples too helpful would have liked if the book emphasized more on examples of designs with diagrams than the code. Don't get me wrong there was diagrams but I think more would have been more helpful.Comes with PDF but it asks you to copy a whole bunch of code from a page in the text to get it. Most people would probably get annoyed with such a way to do that so I didn't bother going through that process.
