Great little flask
This is a great little flask, it’s stout and well made, the screw cap is knurled which makes it easy to open and close. The cap seals tight, no leaks!I use this flask when I go on my daily hike (about 4 miles)Its hold enough water to wet your whistle, although it would not be enough for a long trek. This would be plenty big enough for holding a good amount of your favorite alcohol.

Both 6oz and 8oz are awesome.
Recently purchased both the 6oz and 8oz versions so I could have a set. These things are built very well. The wide mouth negates the need for a funnel. The bottoms are absolutely flat and they both stand upright on a table just fine, so Im not sure what other reviews are talking about saying these dont stand up... Plan to carry the 6oz in my snowboard jacket pocket as its a nice size, and the 8oz for camping and such. Comes with a microfiber cloth case and a plastic strap for the lid, neither of which I care for using, but they are well done. Once again, this thing is built like a tank and not flimsy one bit. This isnt your chintzy bachelor gift fask, this is for people who actually use a flask on the reg

Cracked and can’t be used. Thin material.
Got this for a planned trip and was excited to have a little bit of my drink with me. On first use it immediately starting to leak. Turns out there is a large crack going across the bottom. Now that I have had this thing for a couple of months, there isn’t a way for me to send it back. So take the time and fully inspect this flask (fill it up and pray) before you use it.

Flask
Package came today. Flask is well made there was just a bit of damage on the bottom as the bottom does look fragile if you were to drop it hard enough.. As the top feels way stronger big cap for a good swig tbh it hasn’t leaked yet but this is a nice flask. Heavy but fits in jeans or a coat with a cool little cover.

Solid flask but can use some upgrades.
The sturdiest flask I have found and the wide mouth is great but the seal is very annoying. The sound of the grinding metal on metal when closing and opening the cap just unnerving and makes me only think that there is wear and tear from this . Also it does not create a good seal as the rubber piece in the top of the lid constantly gets stuck in the thread making it hard to tighten down and open at times not cool when your trying to be discreet. Not sure what the shelf life of bourbon is in a flask but I left some in it for only 3 days and it took on a brackish and murky color and metallic taste. Awesome design and for the price don’t mind owning it but will be looking for another soon.

A great heavy duty flask I am not afraid to sit ...
It answered all my needs for a flask. A great heavy duty flask I am not afraid to sit on that is made from 18/8 stainless (heavier than others). Other flasks I looked at really doesn't mention the stainless steel properties and are very flimsy. The wide mouth allows for pouring convenience without needing a funnel. At this price point, you cannot go wrong.More detailed pictures showing that the flask has a tapered bottom which allows the flask feel a bit smaller in the pocket and for the flask to allow for a big mouth. The mouth of the bottle is exactly the same diameter as a US nickel. The cap has some nice knurling which makes opening the flask with wet hands/gloves much easier. This is great for tailgates and outdoor. If looking for something more elegant and dinner parties. Maybe some top-shelf whiskey (aberlour a'bunadh personal favorite) maybe consider Titanium Round Flask by Snow Peak, Curved

No Leaks
This review is for the GSI Outdoors Aluminum Glacier Stainless 6 fl. oz. Hip FlaskMost sturdy hip flask made, and I looked at them all. Yes it is heavier, that is because its built like a tank. Tanks last, and don't dent or bend.No leaks. Just remember flasks are not for long term storage. A few days and some alcohols have a reaction to metal. I went three days with no ill effects. Good for keeping water on you. I am always getting thirsty when there is nothing around to drink.

Strong but lightweight
I bought this item as a gift for a friend who likes to go hiking and skiing. He seemed very pleased with it. It came boxed up and in a cloth bag. I looks robust enough to take the knocks it will no doubt get when in use in the outdoors. It comes in a black cloth bag with a drawstring toggle. The actually cloth I doubt will last long as somewhat thin and I suspect the black dye in the cloth could run if wet, but that is a minor matter as easily replaced with something stronger. My friend has a number of GSI Outdoor items he has had for years so they are well made products and he is always pleased to receive more to add to his collection.
