Why is there no drawing showing where the 6 inches is measured? ditto for all sizes? how can the smallest dimesion be several inches?

A 6-inch clamp will hold an object in its jaws a maximum of 6-inches in size; a 12-inch clamp will hold something twice as big—12-inches, ansd so on. This style of clamp is the greatest: one-hand is all that's needed to tighten or loosen the clamp, unlike a c-clamp which requires at least two hands to work and takes a long time and effort to clamp something.
