Q: Would this help repair chewed up window sills?

Depends what you mean by "chewed up". If Cujo sank his teeth into a sill, and there's indentations from his bite, yes this will work for repair. If Cujo sank his teeth in and tore off a 4" x 6" piece, that's another story. If the sill is 60 years old, has dry rot, water damage, termites, and who knows what else, and literally falling apart, you'll need more then this. If they are really bad, install new sills. Unless its a newer one piece window unit, the sill will come off. Most times its cut to fit by a knowledgeable carpenter right on the job site. If its still holding together after removed, you have an exact replica of what you need. Go to the world wide reference manual, youtube, for help making new window sills. Lumber yards have scrap hardwoods you can by cheap for new sills.
