Absolutely The Best Value, Fantastic Net
I have had so much freaking fun with this net. It's great quality and doesn't get tangled easily. It throws like a dream, it's a great first net.Sadly I busted mine on an underwater obstacle. Not the net's fault, it served admirably. I was heartbroken when I went to buy another one and saw they were no longer available :-(But I just checked today and they are back! I'm throwing away the other replacement net I bought because the South Bend and I were just meant to be!

Great net!
Love this net! We saw someone else using it at the Bay and catching all kinds of fish (of all sizes) so I bought this one for my husband. We had to watch a video on Youtube to figure out how to properly use it - but once we got it down, it was awesome! He caught all kinds of fish (small ones) to use for his bait and to entertain our 3 year old. She loved playing with all the fish dad caught. We threw most of the fish back in (kept a few for bait) but it was just so much fun to use this net we had fun catching and releasing.

Good net for smaller areas.
This net is a very good net it was easy to use and fairly easy to clean. I used this net all summer to catch feeder fish for my gar fish instead of paying for them at the pet store. I used it at a pond and at the local river and had no problems at all. The only few bad points is this net is pretty small and the storage box gets filled with water (which will smell horrible) if you do not fully dry your net. The nets small size makes it a bit tricky to catch fish since most of them can swim away before being netted but I was able to catch fish. The smaller size dose have its benefits though the net is lighter than larger ones which is a very good thing if you are using this for a good amount of time also it can be very accurate since it is smaller making it better for tighter spaces. I would like to ad I have used a net like this before so I did have some experience. If you are new to this type of net I recommend you go out to your yard or any open space and practice a few throws just make sure the area is clear of debris (sticks, leaves, ect) you don't want to rip your net before you use it. My wife was able to use this net perfectly and she had no prior experience I only had to show her how. So if you are new to this do not worry its pretty easy and can be real fun.

Good product.
I was easily able to use it the first time I used this net. Not only did I catch bait; but, I also caught a few crappie and bream. The net is durable and functions flawlessly, with a little practice.

Great Price Very Strong Net
This is a really good net, the second time I thru it into a roadside ditch in the swamp it got caught on the log in the picture. After pulling and pulling I was able to dislodge the stump from the mud. It did brake three of the strings that close the net but I fixed that in a few minutes there was no other damage to the net and I have caught many fish since then with it.

Plastic Covered Weights
You'd figure if you buy a new product you wouldn't have to open until your ready to use. Glad I checked this time. Brand new net with zip tied lid. Figure I'd give it a test on my lawn before I took it to the lake since I was used to throwing a 6' radius cast net. So I unraveled the net and spred the net fully open in the sun to smooth out my new net and let it relax. That's when I saw a hole about 3" long midway down one side of the net. So I'll be returning the net. On the flip side. I did try casting it on my lawn and it opens way better than my 12ft. It does use the plastic covered weights. I don't know if it sink slower than lead in water. As for the netting itself it's so much softer than any of the nets from academy I've bought or from Waliworld. So I will buy another one since the test throws I did on my lawn was better than any of my 6'r cast nets. Both my 6' cast nets have lead weights. One is 1/2 the other 3/8. Both very used and mended so much it doesn't open smoothly. Hope this helps anyone because someone in the Question section said the weights were a soft medal. It's not. I'd prefer lead weights!

Great little cast net
Great little cast net. I bought it to teach my son (age 6), it's still a tad too much for him; but it works great. Caught lots of bait. Easy to throw. It's on the small side, but the bonus is you can throw it much farther and more accurately than you could a full size (6') net.

Good cast net for the price
Good cast net for the price, I'm happy. Reasons for this bet not getting five stars:- Net is coming loose at the horn, moderate usage over 5 months.- Net seems coarse and even after a nice warm bath in fabric softener. Also is really fluffy.- Leash is way too short for me, I don't know about yall but I often times see bait and throw my net beyond its leash. Everybody know what happens then, your net closes or begins to close before it hits the water. This means lost bait.
