Best $20 Lego Set for Homes and Buildings
LEGO Classic Bricks and Houses 11008 Kids’ Building Toy Starter Set with Fun Builds to Stimulate Young Minds, New 2020 (270 Pieces)Purchased 2 years ago, to have extra pieces to some of the themed sets. Love it, the 270 pieces are used up quick. These can build the 6 buildings (a family home, a lighthouse, an igloo, a castle, a small house and a windmill) with included instructions, or can really add to the creativity of already owned sets. My then 6 year old 1st grader continues to reach for these pieces. She's now 8, and working on more complicated sets with dad. However, she still loves these basic pieces.Priced $16 at time of purchase (2 years ago), and currently $20. Sometimes, it'll discount. Even at $20, it's a great set, since each building is $3-3.50.

A Nice Little Starter Set to Introduce Legos
A birthday gift for a 5-year-old, this was the perfect set to get started building with Legos. The birthday boy and his 3-year-old brother built every structure pictured on the box without any help. They had only had the larger Duplo size blocks, so this set was a nice transition. They got some more complicated sets from older cousins and will do them with help, but they're on track to be Lego fans.

Perfect starter set!
Bought this for my grandson and he loved it. Building instructions were easy to understand for kids and adults. You can assemble quite a few great creations.

Great for building
My daughter really enjoys these legos. You can use the suggestions or your imagination. There are lots of different pieces to build with and they are sturdy.

So many potential builds! 3 yo loves it
This is such a great variety of pieces! You can build a windmill, house, spaceship, etc. There are lots of window and door pieces and cool colored blocks, even flowers. Great assortment for the price!

Gift for my 5yo nephew
It seemed to be age appropriate, but I was told my nephew had it put together fairly quickly; however, he did enjoy it. Overall it is a great toy.
