I really did my research on this eyelash curler. I am a loyal Shiseido eyelash curler user. I don’t have great lashes. They are sparse and I noticed lash loss. I take really good care of my lashes after having lash extensions that ruined my lashes years ago. I was pinching my eyelashes with my reliable and amazing Shiseido so I thought and hope that could be part of my problem. I narrowed it down to two choices and I chose Kevyn Aucoin because of how wide it opens. I was still skeptical. I’ve only used it twice but it really does open wide and I have a much easier time placing the curler on my lashes without multiple tries. My right eye which my lashes are thicker were amazing. I heat my curler for few seconds with blow dryer. My lashes, at least the right one, got the most beautiful curl and no pain! It also curled all my lashes, even the hard to catch side lashes. After I applied my mascara I was amazed how great they looked and they held the curl ALL day! I have high hopes for Kevyn Aucoin but only time will tell. It was on the pricey side but to me it is worth it not to torture myself. There is another even pricier eyelash curler that I considered but it looked too wide for my almond eyes. The Kevyn Aucoin also came with an extra eyelash pad which is nice. My Shiseido is not far out of sight but I think I found the one that’s just right. If not I’ll give my second choice a shot.

This curler is perfect for me with my big round eyes and long straight lashes. It opens wide, which was the fault I had with the other popular eyelash curler. I do still have to reposition it to get the outer ends of my lashes but this is the best option I have found to fit my big eyes. It's a very gentle press, you think it isn't working, but it is.

I am awkward with beauty tools, but can definitely say that this is the first eyelash curler I have had that does not ever pinch my lids; SO comfortable and effective!

I haven’t used a Kevyn Aucoin curler before, and I’m not sure if this one is authentic.PRO: It opens really wide, which makes it easy to capture my long (but sparse and straight) lashes — great! (See photo comparing it with a Sephora curler).CON: it seems a lot more likely to pinch than the other lash curlers I’ve used over many years. It has somewhat rough metal “loops” that stick out farther on each side than my Sephora curler (see photo with blue arrows). These pinched my under-eye skin a few times, as I was trying it out (I’m in my mid-40s). It also seems to pinch my lids if I’m not very careful.I’ve used Shu Uemura and other curlers in the past, and thought I’d try this one out because of the high ratings. Was really hoping to find a replacement, but I’m not sure if this is a fake or just doesn’t live up to the hype - or doesn’t suit my eye shape - somewhat deep-set and small.The curl does seem to stay well, but I wouldn’t say it’s fabulously better than other curlers.As you can see, it came in a box that is different from the product photo, but does say Made in Japan. A replacement pad was enclosed - just loose in the box, not wrapped.

I have somewhat small, almond shaped eyes. I have used this eyelash curler for a few years now. I’ve gone through 3 so far! My 14 year old daughter started taking mine because it does such a good job of keeping lashes curled so I just let her keep it and bought myself another! With normal wear and tear, I ordered myself a new one last week and the clamp on that one was misaligned and a bit sharp. Amazon was prompt on sending a replacement that arrived 2 days later and I shipped the misaligned one back for $0 cost. The replacement arrived flawless and works perfectly! *For reference, I have stick-straight lashes and with waterproof mascara (I use Lancôme Lash Idôl) my lashes stay curled ALL DAY*
