Does this screen capture n64/Gamecube game play?

It will capture anything. I'm assuming you video audio output from your device is the ra barrel connectors, then yes it will record just fine. It will also record any HDMI device.

What is the memory on this unit? Can you get it to store and play back on a tv? I have about 20 vhs tapes to convert.

It saves on to a USB 3.0 flash drive (up to 32 GB) or USB 3.0 hard drive (up to 2 TB) - not included. Yes, the device has a playback feature with which you can play back recordings from the device to a TV.

Any problems with this stopping recording on its own if the source tape has periods of static or blue screen between scenes?

No. The capture box will record static and blue screen as long as the recording media is not filled. When the recording media is filled, recording ends but the capture box will continue to show that recording continues.

I just purchased and can't get it to record more than 10 minutes before it quits. I reformatted hard drive and time limit is unlimited. Suggestions?

I had the same problem. You need to use a smaller or faster external drive. I use a 500-GB Seagate SSD drive, but a 32-GB Sandisk thumb drive should also work.
