17-year old cat loves this!!
Our sweet boy was losing weight and acting totally disinterested in eating about a week ago. Also, he was drinking lots of water and we were scooping larger pee clumps from his litter boxes - both typical signs of kidney disease (and his last bloodwork panel showed an upward trend with his kidneys). I researched renal diet cat food and was discouraged by the terrible ingredients in most brands. I read about this food from an independent website, and decided to try a one-pound bag. When we received the bag of cat food five days ago, my cat immediately started eating this like it was a treat. I only gave him about a tablespoon at first to see how he did. No issues, and still no issues. With the combination of this and adding Epakitin to his wet food twice a day, he seems to be feeling much better! I am hopeful we can keep our boy happy and satiated with this food. We are on day 5 of this food and he is STILL heartily eating it. We feed him this dry food in between wet food meals. I couldn't believe how perky and happy he was this morning when he got up. I just fed him an afternoon snack of the dry food, which he woofed down like it was a treat, and he's going back down for a nap. Thank you so much for an excellent food for my senior fur baby!

My vet is 100% on board with this dry cat food.
I have 1 kitty that makes bladder stones due to him having an issue with his liver not filtering correctly. We all know how hard it is to get cats to drink enough water, that is why most vets recommend KD wet food. The wet food has more water in it which will potentially make him urinate more and take any crystals and stones with it. I told the vet that I added some water into the dry Forza food, let it sit for just a minute and stirred it until the water was now like a thin gravy. The longer he takes to eat the pellets they will eventually turn soft so then resembling the wet food. Buying the KD wet cat food is expensive and the Forza with water is less than half the price but produces the same affect . My vet told me not to buy the wet food again and to just stick with the Forza. He was sold on it's ingredients. My other cats without bladder stones like the taste of it too. I highly recommend.

My cat likes the food which is great and I’ve ordered this a few times but the last 4 lb bag had a ‘lot’ of oil in the bottom of the bag and my cat wouldn’t eat itBut I’m happy if my poor old kitty is she’s almost 20 yrs old

Not my cat's flavor
This review is for the 1-lbs bag of Forza10 Active Kidney Renal Cat Food. This is a very expensive Trial and Error trying to find a flavor my cat would eat. The high cost is not unique to this brand either. Not a happy customer!!!

Not an option for us
I was hopeful this food would be an option in our meal rotation for our cat who was recently diagnosed with CKD, but unfortunately she did not agree. Also, as others here and elsewhere point out, the food is labeled for renal support, but there is no breakdown of the guaranteed analysis.

Amazing for Ailing Kitties with Kidney issues!
In late April we noticed one of our rescue kitties had been not quite herself. She’d had teeth pulled before we adopted her due to a mouth infection. We’d had her not quite a year, but we started seeing a dramatic decline, particularly for such a young cat. Hiding, losing weight, sitting with her head over the water bowl...After a not terribly encouraging vet visit, we were told to prepare for the worst. The kind of infection she’d had can resurface later as kidney issues. Antibiotic and steroid injection and subcutaneous fluids were given in an attempt to stabilize her. Science Diet A/D prescription food helped get her eating a bit again. We used Under the Weather Pets gel to help get more weight on her. It definitely gave her a perk. We began to have tentative hope.About a month ago, I stumbled on the listing for this food and decided to give it a shot. I bought a 1 lb. bag initially to see if she would eat it.Wow! The improvements in her demeanor and well-being have been nothing short of miraculous. I simply must credit this food.First, she loves the taste. We have 3 other rescues, so this stuff is our little secret! She signals that she wants it. From first dish, she dove in.She’s a very small cat! Just a 1/4 c. per day, which is easy to get her to eat that, plus a little more if she wants it.Since we’ve added this to her routine, she’s improving daily. Her energy levels are up. She now runs around when she had been sitting lethargically or sleeping most of the day. With the weight she had lost, her spine and skull were easily felt when you pet her. The short amount of time she’s been eating this has improved that significantly.I’ve since ordered a 4 lb bag. She loves it,And we do too.
