I have two of these Dakota quartz watches with the metal carabiner and leather fob, one in black with a white dial and the other is brown with a cream colored dial. I am very happy with them and have also gotten several compliments on them. I especially like them in the winter when I clip the carabiner though a button hole on my jacket so I can easily see the watch and do not have to pull off my gloves or dig my cellphone out my pocket to see what is the time of day.

This is my second of this (I lost the first one after 3 years). Neither the carabiner or strap failed on that one, so I expect good life out of this one. It's classy looking; well-finished.• Good strap, thick and durable, well-stitched leather (yes, it's real leather, just stiff and color coated). It can be easily bent to adjust the time (just squeeze it -- see photo), so I don't find that an issue as negative reviewers did. Though the adjustment knob is somewhat stiff out of the box.• Decent little carabiner.• Watch is steel and keeps time well, if a bit heavy for my use (hiking), but that's not an issue in town. The crystal is glass.• Watch is replaceable -- a big plus -- as the strap on my last one lasted through 2 replacement watches (I broke them all, being very hard on the gear). Personally, I think the strap is the real value here.• Water-resistant -- specs say to 3 atmospheres (that would be 90'). I've soaked mine in the rain, but not depth tested.Recommended. 5 stars at this price point ($26 for black).

Bought this watch to clip on to my hiking pants. I wore it everyday on a 3 week trip to Las Vegas, Death Valley, Valley of Fire, Grand Canyon and Prescott AZ. this past fall. I do not wear a wrist watch anymore since I am retired. I needed a watch for this trip and I didn't want to have to pull out my Galaxy Note 4 every time I needed to check the time. This worked perfectly for me. It clipped easily on the belt loop of my pants. It was easy to reach down and glance at the time. The numbers are large enough to see from that distance. The quality of this watch is excellent. I love that it is mounted on black leather. All of my pants are black so it blended right in. I have found that I grab this watch when I am running out to the grocery store or to run other errands. I will continue to get plenty of use out of this purchase.

Nice watch for the price. Grew tired of Timex Indiglo watches eating batteries. I kept it in my pocket while working outdoors. Took to jewelry store to replace battery and was informed the movement was no longer working. A battery won't fix it... I miss the days of a windup watch.

This watch is a nice looking watch but after five months the watch stopped working. I paid $44 for this watch and when I contacted the company they wanted me to pay shipping back to them and then a extra fee of $9.95 To replace the battery. They told me that it was not recommended to have anybody replace the battery except for a Dakota watch service place. They told me that they would waive the $9.95 but I still had to pay for the shipping to them. There were going to waive this fee for courtesy, a courtesy would be me not having to go without a watch that shouldn't have died in five months nor have to pay shipping to return it back to them since they are the only ones who can replace the battery, no dealers in my area. As I read their reviews now I see many people have complained about their watches dying. The customer service is poor, For a watch that sells for 2 to 3 times what you can get a similar watch for you would think they would value their customers but they don't. Instead they blame it on the watch being held by the third-party for an unknown length of time which is the reason the battery went dead if it is the battery that is the issue.

LOVE this watch. I hate to wear a watch on my wrist, and pocket watch has to be carried in a pocket--this is out and available to look at whenever i need to. Hour, minute, AND second hands will glow in the dark. It is keeping accurate time. The leather key fob is sturdy, should last a long time. For $25 i am impressed.*UPDATE*have had this 2 months--it stays very accurate. After setting the watch to match the coordinated universal time, i checked it after a month and it was only off by 3 seconds. Which is good, because the FOB is so sturdy it is actually a little hard to set the time (makes access to the adjustment hand difficult). I give this 6 stars now!

Bought this for my dad after his old one broke. He was really happy with it because he said the clip design didn't snag on his belt loop like the old one did. It looks just as nice as the picture and it seems like a sturdy and durable build and well-made. He's got bad eyesight, but the numbers are big and clear enough that he hasn't had a problem reading the time. He's been wearing it every day so I'm glad he's happy with it. Good product.

The 'biner broke, so I had to get a new one. this is a very useful way to carry your watch, only it is not as good as I would like - until i put my own carabiner on it.
