The best thing ever. The kind of absorbing hobby that makes you forget the problems of the world.
First, if you know you want them, get them. They're totally worth it. If you noodle about with small sets first, you'll end up with a lot of duplicate colors. Sure, son and I used up Jacquard's "Lemon Yellow" from our first set very fast, but it was mostly inexperience and spills. What I have left should last a long, long time. But they aren't like other kinds of paints. They're more difficult to control. Portraits and landscapes are not easy to paint with these, though they are incredible for more abstract projects. They bleed so readily into one another. The mixing is not as predictable as elementary school tempera paints! Red plus yellow may still make orange, but purple plus blue might give you...some green, at least around the edges. What? And while the colors will readily mix together, they'll also...move each other away, all depending on how you handle them. A drop of any ink, or alcohol by itself, in an area already painted will spread to make itself into a bubble. Pretty cool!If you don't like unpredictability and serendipity, stick to oils, acrylics, pastels. Some inks are more saturated than others. (I'm looking at you, Cool Peri. Why so watery?)Watch tutorials! Especially if something you are trying to do just doesn't seem to come out. Myriam's Nature is lovely, calm and entertaining, and she's very good with these.Don't buy extender. 91% isopropyl alcohol from Dollar Tree, plus 1-several drops of glycerin works about the same and will give you more control and less toxic fumes. Glycerin slows drying, too. I really don't want methanol around me or in my lungs. This set comes with a bottle that lets you lighten a color, but you will generally learn to prefer extending the color and letting the amount of pigment vary in an area, from very very thin to pretty darn solid. Certainly that's cheaper than using the Snowcap.Experiment with your paper. I got some very interesting results with a slightly shiny origami paper bought at clearance! Cheap transparent tape (present wrapping type) works very well for masking. Try Mod Podge for sealing the image once it's painted is safer than the Krylon spray on topcoats. Keep your lungs healthy! For years I thought it was Modge Podge and I thought they'd stopped making it... lol.Dollar stores have cheap palettes for painting. These work great with the inks. A drop in one reservoir, and then add your homemade extender or alcohol, and drop on paper and move your inks around. Let the ink dry in the palette, then rub off any cat fur, and you can bring the dried ink back to life with your extender or alcohol. It redissolves in seconds.I decided I have storage space for all the paintings I can do, but I don't want to store 3D objects, so I'm not doing the resin stuff. Too much mess, too much danger of utter disaster, with cats around. I gave up painting (acrylics) when my youngest learned to walk, and I'm just thrilled to have found these now and get back into it. It's something my son and I are enjoying together. Mess can be confined to an area not much bigger than the paper. I bet my BP has dropped more since I got this set than it did when I cut my salt intake. No joke! I couldn't afford these and got them anyway, and I am not sorry at all.But Cool Peri really needs a boost in saturation. It's the bullied kid who can't hold its own against any other ink on the playground. With incredibly vibrant inks like Bubble Gum around, you know, they all really have to be able to stand up for themselves!

All colors received as pictured-but received with ink spills/leaks on some of the bottles?
Like that I received the inks as pictured. My only complaint is that some of the bottles have some ink spills on them and I haven't opened yet?I haven't tried to work with the colors yet.

It is not every color including the new 2020 colors.
New edit! It doesn't have the pearls which if it has all the colors including the new 2020 colors it should have the pearls that came out in 2019 but it doesn't the company that sells this sells them for $50 more.I haven't even had a chance to try the inks yet though I'm already know that they are very good I just spent the last hour opening up 25 packages of three ink sets. It's not only Annoying to have to open up 25 packages because of that they had to come in a larger box and the amount of waste is just uncalled for. There's got to be a better way to do this set. Maybe all together in a reusable box with a color chart? Something that is a little less obnoxious and a little more friendly to this world we live on. So far the inks are great though
