Handy tool for Mac Mini Repairs
As a certified Apple technician and former Apple Store Genius, I recommend snagging this tool. It can save you some frustrations if you have a moment of bad luck. Sure there are ways using just your hand to slide the logic board out, but you risk breaking off components and breaking solder points. Spend a couple of bucks and just buy this.

just works
I replaced my 2014 Mac Mini's HDD with a SSD using this tool. Works. Do you really need it? No. But it sure makes it a lot easier to disassemble.

Works for its purpose
OK so I guess this tool does make it easier to remove the main board from a Mac Mini. But I am sure you could remove it just fine without the tool if your careful. Its one of those tools that if you do work a lot on Mac Mini's you would probably want one.
