Won't work for me, still a great mount
I purchased this because I occasionally need to mount a pico projector to the ceiling and going through the hassle of a traditional fixed projector mount simply wasn't worth it. Sadly, after receiving the device I found it simply would not suction to my ceiling, which isn't the manufacturers fault since the item listing and instructions pretty clearly warn it won't work on porous surfaces. I don't return items that work as described, but didn't fill my niche needs so I ran it through some tests to see what surfaces it would stick too. For each test I stuck it on a vertical surface and left it for at least an hour. A 'No' means it didn't last an hour.Bare Drywall - NoOld painted drywall - NoOld wallpapered drywall - NoNew wallpapered drywall - NoNew painted drywall - YesBare plaster wall - NoPlaster wall with some paint - NoPlaster wall with a ton of paint - YesPlaster wall with wallpaper - NoGlazed Ceramic Tile - YesUnglazed Ceramic - NoWood - No -=I tried a lot of different wood. One last warning, the user manual warns about it, but this item will definitely leave a black ring around any whitish object it's affixed to. It'll come off with some elbow grease, just don't go slapping it onto your parents walls willy nilly.

It broke after 1 year of constant use, but I'm replacing it with the same one.
It works really effectively. Mine was in constant use in my vehicle (used to attach a phone cradle to the windshield), so it experienced a lot of hot/cold cycling. It needed pumping up maybe twice a month, but it was a really solid way to mount to my windshield. The first one I bought worked well, but after 1 year, it stopped holding suction. The second one was dead on arrival, the pump-vacuum button was broken, so I returned it. The third one is working well. I will probably buy a fourth one eventually, they work well.

Best suction cup camera mount ever
This is what I've been looking for. Needed a way to mount cameras in different ways in glass or smooth surface any where. Can now mount a camera outside my van without worry of the suction cup coming loose. Camera is safe because the suction is so strong.

Works great... until it doesnt
Out performed every other mount I have tried. Stayed stuck to my car then the screws got stripped while driving and I lost my $500 camera.

Great suction but 1/4 screw is NOT seated
I have used for my Insta360 X3 to mount to the inside and outside of my car windows. The suction is excellent and very strong. Very easy to use: just position, squeeze the pumper a few times and then pull the two side tabs to release. My issue is with 1/4 mounting screw. I can't get it to securely "lock" in to place (which then has me worried that the camera is going to go flying so I have only done very short driving with the camera on the outside). Is there a proper way to securely tighten the 1/4 screw to the product?

Met my expectations - mounted on open a moving jeep at 49 Kmph with gimble & DSLR
Mounted it on the bonnet of my keep wrangler with a ronin s gimbal and canon 7D Mk II with a 72mm- 17-55/2.8 lens for my music video shot - travelling at 40kmph for a distance of 1 km - result = slight sway at the suction pump and gimbal joint but smooth video taken - no problem ,Verdict - sturdy for this job

Great for the price
For the price it's very hard to beat. I've used this with my Canon t8i with a 35-50mm lens and my larger 75-300mm lens with very good suction pressure.Pro's:-Cheap-Easy to use out of the box-Simple designCon's:-Not enough adjustability, but hard to complain at this price.-Male to Male ends tend to become too tight on either the camera side, or mount side.4/5 stars, very good product to get into camera angles with windows or cars.
