It does what it's supposed to do.They start you off with plenty of wax. I used 6 of the 8 to start with and that was enough to cover most of my hand.I got it for heat therapy for my trigger finger and RA- if you are using it for heat therapy, then I suggest finding something that you can use to cover your appendage(s) to keep your hand warm/heated. The mit that comes with this kit doesn't keep the heat container and your hand will just feel cold with wax on it. So I put my hand into the wax about 5-8 times, and then put it in one of the included plastic gloves, and then I wrap a heating pad around my hand. Not only does it contain the heat but also produces the heat to keep the wax and your hand warm.Anyways, gets a 5-star because it does as it's intended, it heats the wax efficiently and it puts it at the temperature you set it at. The wax and other things included shouldn't determine the star rating, as they don't determine how the wax machine works, but I do like the smell of the wax and it does seem to soften your skin a little. Since I am using it for heat therapy though, I don't care so much about the smell or softness.

This is a great purchase. Ample foot and hand room. The depth is great, however make sure you purchase lots of wax. It’s deep! Probably need 10 to start out. I contacted vendor right away as there were tiny scratches on the lining. They were right on it and sent me additional wax. I didn’t think it would hurt anything but sent it anyway. Great customer service and the machine works perfectly. I tested temp and it is spot on. If you need a larger one, this one is really nice.

I have been very pleased with this. The temp is pretty accurate. I do not keep it plugged in & turned on all the time. Do plug in and turn on a couple hours before i want to use it.One star reduction as provided wax is lavender. I am allergic to flower scents but can not buy this without the lavender wax. So it sits in the drawer unused and purchased no sent wax for use with this.

Perfect and this was recommended by my orthopedic surgeon after my hand surgery. Ordered it while in his office. It is just like the ones used in physical therapy providers facilities. I use it on days when having aching and cramping. It makes it go away. Very pleased with the purchase.

I recently bought the kit and I really like it . I’m new to paraffin wax and this kit was perfect to start . I did have an issue with the power cord being broken and the seller was very professional and even got me a 10 dollar gift card so I could purchase a new one . The machine is easy to use . I set my time for 30 minutes let it cool down and keep the pot on and the wax stays warm the whole time .

I haven’t even dipped my hands in it, yet. After the paraffin sat at the recommended “F 127” temperature for about 40 minutes, I tested it with a ThermoPro digital candy thermometer (fairly new), and it read 133 degrees Fahrenheit, so I dropped it down to F 120 for about 30 minutes.The lid “handle” is difficult to grasp. It slipped from my fingers and a corner fell in. It splashed and made a little mess (onto my shirt as well). I tried to clean it off as best as I could (see photo) which made my hands numb (wrong direction I wanted to go with this). I am already in pain from cooking all day yesterday for Christmas. This is supposed to HELP.I think later I will glue a hand strap to the top so I can manipulate the lid more securely. I have triple-crush syndrome in my hands, so I recommend to anyone who is getting this for hand therapy for pain etc., to fix the lid, first. My family got this for me as my Christmas gift to help me with hand pain and mobility. I will make this work!
