The little pound cakes were excellent! Guests couldn’t believe I found them online. They were soft and fresh with an old fashioned pound cake flavor.

A tasty individually wrapped for freshness comfort food

I first had a devil dog 65 years ago as a college freshman before my first class several times a week. It was the best thing I ever ate as a 17 years old. I have not had many since that time but decided to splurge on several boxes out a a feeling of nostalgia and gluttony. They are still pretty good but not as good as I recall. I will still periodically indulge since they are still the best thing out there. .

For someone who's never ate a devil dog all I can tell you is if you like chocolate cake and you like cream in the middle of the chocolate cake and you want a really fresh cake, get these I never heard nobody say that they don't like devil dogs. I think they're in New York thing and a lot of people on the west coast don't like or never tried them, but if you never tried Drake's cakes you don't know what you're missing.

Irreplaceable. The best.

Back in the 60s and 70s product tasted so much better unfortunately today the flavor is very different. Very disappointed indeed was looking to recapture memories of old so truly disappointed.
