Hartz Ultraguard Flea & Tick Prevention Collars for Dogs

Two collars individually wrapped within the packaging. The collars have deltamethrin content so you may not want to use these if you have cats in the household as well. My dog has medium-length fur so this doesn't directly touch his skin but he made it through the summer without any ticks or fleas, so the collar seems to work properly. He didn't have any apparent irritation or annoyance from the collar, which we left on in addition to his usual collar.

Fell apart when taken out of package

My first dog i put the grey one on and so far so good but my 2nd dog got the white one and from the day i got it the strip fell off and it will not stay on her it keeps falling off, they still have fleas but its still to early to tell ty

I'll say right up front that I'm not wild about putting a pesticide infused collar on my dog. But, Stewie is an inside/outside pet and I'm not wild about fleas brought into the house either . . . so I use flea collars. Hartz has been an effective brand in the past This new "Ultraguard" collar is rated at 6 months per collar (2 collars per package), so a single collar may get him through and entire flea/tick season (no collar needed during our midwestern winter months). I haven't had it on him for even a week yet, so we'll monitor the longevity. One size fits all dogs. AND . . . do read and follow the instructions and precautions. Not complicated but there are some steps which must be followed.

My dogs haven’t gotten fleas nor ticks which is surprising since I live in a high tick area. Definitely recommend it

This was the first time I have ordered this type of flea collar and just unpacking it i am not impressed. The center strip is off in sections and coming off in others. The collar is very brittle, both of the ones in this package. I will have to say I will NOT but this brand again. I thought Hartz was a reputable name. These collars are junk.

Like the other Hartz collars we've owned, these fit my dog perfectly. They very durable and well made. I prefer these over topical treatments. They're less greasy and stinky in my opinion. The color is fine.(soda can for size reference)

They cracked as soon as I took them out. The reflective tape fell off. Don't waste your money..
