Where is parts list identifying parts so you know where to solder them on the pcb? someone said "it is common", but where to find it?

ABOUT 1/3 OF THE WAY DOWN and on the left hand side of the page on Amazon, right above the RELATED PRODUCTS WITH FREE DELIVERY, you will see the USER GUIDE (PDF). That should help. Also the circuit board has printing on it showing what goes where.

My digital readout counter has 6 pins on the top row, but only 5 pins on the bottom row. is this the way it is supposed to be? or, is mine missing a p

I can't find mine to compare but. Look at the PC board is there a hole for that missing pin. Look at the readout for the signs of a broken pin,a stub .

Built using the battery option. Turns on, menu w/ controls, display and led working. Alarm doesnt activate consistent,often misfire. Advice please?

Look for poor solder joints. If the soldering iron is not hot enough the connection may not be completely conducting properly. Sometimes by tapping on the board or the solder joints will make the connections work you can use this to identify which ones are bad.

Says it comes with 3 diodes, there is only 1 led in the pics (which is listed as 5mm red led). any idea what the 3 diodes are or if they're used?

Just checked both circuit boards with a 10X loupe and I can’t find any other diodes other than the 5mm red LED, so I guess it’s a typo. By the way, it’s a great kit!
