This thing works amazing!!! Worth every penny!!!
The media could not be loaded. Works as intended, make sure you use high quality Cat5e/6 crimp on ends. I am running 7 Tvs, i can use up to 8 sources independently. I can watch 8 different things on up to 16 TVs.I highley reccomend this device. It has cleaned up my media center big time! I had thick HDMI wires running everywhere, i got rid of all the HDMi cables running from my tv to my media center.I already had Cat5e cables running to each tv for future use, so i used all those to run from the TVS to the main HDMI matrix/extender. Now i just have Cat 5e cables running to a little mini receiver behind each TV, and the little receiver has a short 1.5' hdmi cable that hooks the little receiver to the TV.

A Former Disgruntled and Frustrated Customer converted to a Raging Fan.
I’ve had this product since February. I don’t rate or comment on products, but I wanted to share my Journey. First 8x8 I received, something was wrong. OREI worked through some diagnostics with me. Determined that I needed to return the item and sent me a replacement. Installed in my home A/V network and worked like a charm! This month (seven months after I installed the 8x8] I bought and installed multiple, very expensive eARC systems and installed the equipment. I connected the 8x8 backbone and nothing worked. After setting up multiple test scenarios was able to isolate the problem to the 8x8. I was livid. I contacted OREI and over the next couple of weeks shared configurations, specs on the eARC equipment. Attempted to do everything in my power to help them help me. They were patient, took all my information to heart and shipped a firmware update in the last couple of days. I had been so frustrated that I had disconnected the 8x8 backbone and went to a RG6 based backbone, expecting a bad ending to this story. I installed the firmware update connected everything together and the fix worked like a charm. This technology and technology surrounding it are changing rapidly. This manufacturer, patiently, listened to what I was seeing, duplicated the issue in their lab and sent me a fix. Because of the time that I’ve had the system, my issues could have gone unnoticed. BUT, OREI is a quality manufacturer. They stood with me, listened to me and fixed what could have been a real problem.I am fortunate to have chosen a manufacturer that has evolved with me as my needs have evolved. I am ecstatic with the performance of the end-result and the real partnership I feel with OREI.I AM A STRONG FAN AND ADVOCATE OF ALL THINGS OREI.

Ditch a cable box!
Great way to split your cable tv box output to run two tvs, and save money by returning your unused cable box to the cable company.

Stay Away! This splitter fried 3 of my displays!
I bought this splitter to drive 3 monitors for a portable VJ setup. I've used it twice. The first time, it worked well but required a couple power cycles to get the monitors to synch properly. The second time, one of the monitors came on for a split second and everything quit working. I'm not sure what happened, but all of the monitors are completely dead now. One of them won't turn on and the other 2 have broken HDMI ports; the VGA ports work OK. The worse part was it happening in the middle of a VJ gig. Luckily, we had access to a big screen TV that allowed us to finish our gig without canceling. Stay away from these splitters if you value your electronics; they are junk! I learned the hard way. Hopefully HP will be kind enough to replace or repair the broken monitors instead of having to buying new ones...
