Nikon Z5 Body Mirrorless Camera (273-point Hybrid AF, 5-axis in-body optical image stabilisation, 4K movies, Dual card slots), VOA040AE

Bought this to replace my existing and very old Nikon D5100.Mirrorless is a whole new area to explore and this camera has features I've only ever dreamt of having such as focus stacking ability and two DS card slots so you can configure one to backup the other. As I've lost important work before, this is a must-have for me. Can't wait to properly explore this one.

An excellent introduction to mirrorless photography. I'm a beginner but found this camera to be relatively straightforward to use and very versatile. As you would expect from Nikon, excellent image quality and great array of lenses available to cover all genres.

The camera is fabulous. Low light performance is unbelievable. At night in dim street lights it can take bright pictures. With a little adjustment of aperture and shutter speed, the brightness can be made normal so that the photos come off looking exactly like what the street looks to human eye. Great work by the engineers. One issue is that low cost Z mount lenses are not yet available from third parties. But I believe those are in preparation, and till then it is possible to use an adapter.The real problem is the atrocious customer service on an expensive device. My kit came with the wrong user manual. So I asked Nikon for a copy of the manual (after registering the device with proof). They outright refused. A printed manual costs nothing compared to the £1.5K price of the device. If this is their attitude for a manual that costs them pennies, I shudder to think what will happen when there is an expensive issue.So, overall, even with the great camera, I regret not going with the investment in canon. Yet another tech company and good tech development is probably going to get ruined by the out of touch "business" people making greedy business policies.

Love this camera , Stunning image quality SD Cards Tick ,standard Nikon batteries Tick , blows away images from previous Nikons I have owned D610, D750, Matches Z6 yes I went from Z6 to Z5 because of the crazy price of XQD cards , Using silent shoot mode with no issues .My f mount lens work fine with the adaptor But will eventually go Z mount Update ,just got Z24-70 f4 perfect companion to this cam

I did not record an unboxing video because I trusted the merchant's rating. This was an oversight on my part, so I am not going to refund it. When I received the delivery I found that the fragile sticker on top of the lens box had been torn off. There was dust on the lens. There was an inexplicable pull ring in the lens box that looked like rubbish that had been accidentally dropped in during boxing. There is visible dust on the surface of the lens and you can be sure it is not new. The camera looks relatively new, the serial number is correct and there is no evidence of second hand use.

Bought this as a first full frame camera and I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the quality is. Can't put this thing down when I'm out and about.
