I bought these as teaching aids to help my kids learn about different animals around the world. Concepts are so much easier for them to grasp if they can hold and play with the animals they're leaning about, rather than just reading about them in a book. The animals are well crafted, the pieces have been nicely painted and they're fairly detailed which helps them look more realistic - the turtle has ridges on his shell, the birds have feathers, and the seal has fur. They also have their names on the underside in case you need help identifying what they are. Most of the pieces in this set stand up on their own fairly well, although some are a little wobbly.The only thing I find a little cumbersome is the tube itself. While it's great for storing, it's compact size and odd shape makes it difficult to get the animals in and out - the rope handle also seems to get in the way. Other than the somewhat troublesome tube, the animals in this set are great and I will definitely be buying more of these collections.

Have bought multiple TOOBs for my 6 year old and he loves them. He's a big fan of the TV show Wild Kratts and the Kratt Brothers so he pretends to go on wild adventures. These little animals are really nice, durable and realistic.

I do think these are expensive, However my 5-year-old is very interested in animals. Her current favorite birds are the red-footed and the blue-footed boobies. This company supplies us with the more unusual animals that are not for purchase everywhere.

It came with all the animals which are commonly cited in books on Galapagos. I bought a few books on the theme for my toddler and the animals in this toob match perfectly with the books. Love them!

Container is cheap and annoying. It was square w a knotted rope handle making taking animals in and out a difficult task for anyone. Had to toss...now cool, small animals are scattered around the house. Call me uptight, but I wanted the container as much as the awesome animals for my own chaos control/sanity.

I bought it as a Christmas present for my neice and she loved it. Very good quality, ideal size to play and a beautiful collection.
