Wild Planet is the ultimate in new-wave party albums, starting with the opening "Party Out of Bounds." the song sums up everything that's great about The B-52s, the kitschy, minimalist dance band that somehow managed to overcome it's primitive musicianship and crank out a big pile of hit records. The B-52s keep the dance beats coming while amusing any party people who take care to pay attention to the group's witty, oddball lyrics. "Runnin' Around," "Private Idaho," and "Strobe Light" are the other standout tracks here.

One of the best albums of the 80’s. This band was super innovative and unique and this to me is their best album. Hey, you know you are great when Lennon is a huge fan of your band. I’m reading about their history just now at the age of 53, remember when this first came out as a kid and loved it then, appreciate them as artists much more now as an adult and a musician myself.

The B-52’s or just the best of the 1980s and early 90s. If the music from the 1980s does not make you feel better than today there’s something wrong with you because the B-52’s and this album is terrific.
