Great fan.
I got this to help my MacBook Air not get too hot- it blows strong enough to keep ME cool sometimes while on the computer. I also grew up with a fan on me, so it's relaxing to hear a bit of the fan- although it's so gentle in sound- all in all great and worth the price. I tested also on my windows gaming laptop, and it does a even better job (that one has vent fans on the bottom)Highly recommended! It also looks awesome! I've owned It for at least 2 weeks. still love it. helps me type better at this angle.3 month update: it works great, sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise (fans get out of balance over time) but I don't mind. It still works good.

Phenominal Customer Service
I bought this cooler to help with my gaming laptop in an attempt to be able to reduce my temps and keep my fans to a low roar vs a jet turbine taking off. This cooler does help temendously with that. its helped drop my temps about 10 degrees C, on the same fan speeds. So in that aspect it works great even with the large fan not working (more on that later). The cooler is built on a plastic frame with a metal mesh top. It has 2 USB ports and 2 speed control knobs. It has some fancy blue clear accent pieces and blue LED's that you cant really see with the laptop ontop of it. The speed knobs do adjust the speed of the fans a bit from off to high. the noise level is extremely low. I can hardly tell its even on as my laptop is louder than the cooler. I sometimes have to check to see if its on or feel the sides for airflow. Now the downside. The large main center fan came inoperative when i got it. Which kinda sucks, but the other 4 small fans worked. I emailed KLIM customer support and i must say, their customer service is phenominal. Easily in the top 5 ive ever had to deal with. After some pictures and verification, they sent out a new cooler.Overall, it looks decent. is sturdy enough for lap and desk use. I am happy with the purchase. Even with the fan failure, the customer service has more than made up for it.

Sleek, quiet, good looking, but a little small for 17.3in laptops
So I'll start by saying that this is absolutely worth the cost. I paid 29 bucks, and I got my money's worth. Deducting one start because the listing explicitly stated that this version was designed for bigger laptops, and it's slightly smaller than the frame of my 17.3 thin bezel laptop. That wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't so sleek and slippery, but it is. It's made out of hard plastic, so unless you're using this on a flat surface (but honestly, even then), it'll slip and slide around. Thankfully, I had some of those felt adhesive floor protectors you stick to the bottoms of your furniture's legs so they don't scratch up your floors. I stuck one on each of the four sides, as far out as I could so they wouldn't restrict any of the fans' air flow, and now my laptop is sliding around a lot less. But that's definitely an issue. If the manufacturer is reading this, please try to solve that in future iterations. Even just a thin rubber lining around the edges, or include small rubber stickers for the customer to place where needed, but with how these are currently, I was pretty upset at how unstable the laptop felt sitting on it. Very satisfied now that I added my little home fix, because it really is a great unit. When it's resting on your lap, you feel the airflow coming out the sides, which is a lot more pleasant than feeling like your thighs are on fire after using your laptop for an hour. Has a cooling effect, while keeping your laptop significantly cooler, all while being surprisingly quiet.

Quiet and effective
Gaming laptops produce a lot of heat, i had a smaller one from another maker that where it DID drop down the thermal readings if the cpu, the keyboard would still get pretty toasty after an hour or two if continuous heavy load.THIS cooler however, i used for a 4 hour mac settings game continuously (i was on a steak and held in a bathroom break even), and not only did it keep cpu temps down, but so much cold air was pushed through it that it actually kept the topside of the keyboard to a mildly warm temp, about the same amount of heat you could feel from the surface of a wooden chair if you've been sitting in it for a while AND, silently, i might add. Anyone looking to keep their laptop cool, or just extend the life of the internal fans by having an outside unit do half if the work, this is worth every pennyPros-ThinThe mesh material doesn't impede airflow yet is sturdy for the priceThe fans are silent and are powerfulThe lighting is aesthetically pleasing without being overbearingCons-The surface CAN let laptops with weaker pads slide a little after a while, whether vibration from use or whatever, and the plastic plate thing that snaps in to keep laptops from sliding down while elevated seems like a cheap afterthought (would be better as a fold up hinged flap maybe?) and it's tall and thin, could get in the way of trackpads or make resting wrists uncomfortableThe cord that comes with it is craazzyyy long and awkward to stow in its retainer, which also would've been better as a box with a locking flap than a coil thing reminiscent if a boat tie off cleat. The usb inputs are both on the right side, which leaves the user stuffing the cord up underneath if using an adjacent mouse, would be better if there was one on each side to accommodate people with inputs only on the left, or those who just have their own preference. Or just go overkill and put one on each side and the back, and trim down the cable so that way nothing's in the way and you can still reach whatever port you want to use.The rubber pads at the end of its support legs could be better adhered, i ended up using some strong super glue and they haven't come off since thoughRandom nitpick-As someone who spends most of their time using their laptop while laying in bed, while the adjustable leg supports are awesome at holding their elevation, i would much rather have the support legs lock into one big u- shaped base and not two individual legs. I often would find myself having to spread MY legs slightly to support IT'S legs, and after a while it got kindof annoying. And if relaxing in underwear and relaxing for a bit before bed while doing light gaming, the gentleman's region would get a bit too chilled for my liking, with a solid u-shaped bar as a base, i could rest the back edge against my crossed legs and it still be sturdiness without sacrificing airflow OR my plumsWhere the dimmer switch effect of the lights indicating fan speeds and which fan zones are on IS neat, a bypass switch to turn the lights off alone would be nice just for the sake of preserving ambiance for movies, or to just limit the amount of light in the room.Overall- cost, construction materials and perfomance make this a REALLY sound choice
