Great asset for people who wear glasses

I am writing so that people don't make the same mistake that I did. These are replacement nose pads for frames that already have nose pads built into them. These are not to add on to your existing nose pads. Unfortunately that is what I am looking for - an addition to my nose pads to keep my specs from sliding down my nose. And that is a surprisingly hard item to find - they sell some that attach to plastic frames, but there doesn't seem to be much available for wire frames. Please tell me if you know of something like that. Now I have enough replacement nose pads to last me for the rest of my life.

The reviews highlighting the horrid skunk smell of the plastic are 100% true. It is NOT subtle.This smell is likely caused by methyl mercaptan, a chemical used in the manufacture of plastics. Unfortunately, these nose pads have sufficient concentration of this chemical to emit a STRONG odor.According to the CDC (and other sources), methyl mercaptan is highly irritant when it contacts moist tissues such as the eyes, skin, and upper respiratory tract. It can also induce headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, coma, and death.Do you really want these pads on the bridge of your nose? Clearly, something went very wrong when these were manufactured.I ordered another brand that did not have this smell and associated risk.

If you are in a situation like me where you need to replace your nose pads but cannot at the moment bring them to a professional these are perfect. There are 150 pairs (300 total) of different eyeglass replacement pads in different styles, so do not worry if you do not know the particular type of nose pad you need (for example screw on or snap on). I do however have two complaints. My first is that these aren't the most comfortable eyeglass pads. They aren't as soft as the broken ones I was replacing and are a little tough. My second complaint is that they are small! This may be why they are uncomfortable. I used the largest pads that were in the box and they still were about 1/2 the size of my old ones.Overall these are an easy to install, quick fix if you really need to fix your glasses. I'm not unhappy with them though. They're still great and have been holding up wonderfully and I would still reccomend them.

The set arrived in good shape, the pieces were not mixed together. There are 15 different styles, and one of them was an exact match for my sunglasses. It installed just fine, I was able to snap it in with my fingers. These sunglasses have been sitting on my desk for months! Two minutes and now they are good to go again. The nose piece fit perfectly, it is nice and soft and comfortable. I did notice a slight chemical/skunk like odor from the case as others have said, but it wasn't that bad. I could not detect any smell from the nose pads I used on my glasses. This set gets a well deserved five stars.
