Q: I hate to ask another "will it fit question", but do you think this will work with my craftsman 98023 40v 12" lithium-ion cordless chainsaw?

No. This is an .050 kerf chain. The 98023 uses an .043 kerf chain. You would need to change the bar also. When in doubt order a bar and chain combo. An R45 chain will work with the stock bar.

Q: Will this work on the new 40 volt Kobal chain saws sold by Lowes?

According to the PDF instructions, this should fit the Kobalt 40v 12in chainsaw. the kobolt chain has Fits Saws with 3/8inch LP pitch .050gauge 45dl

Q: IS THIS SAME AS 91VGO45G

Put it on my Husqvarna Pole Saw attachment and it works just fine

Q: will this fit a remington rm4040 battery powered chain saw?

It may but you need to check the chain pitch and number of teeth to be certain
