Bosch JS470ERT 7.0 Amp Top-Handle Jigsaw (Renewed)

I've been doing enough projects around the house that I finally decided to get a few additional (much needed) tools. Thought I'd save some money on this jigsaw and get the factory remanufactured unit, and I'm glad I did. I certainly can't tell it from a new one - cosmetically and functionally, it's just like new. It comes with a plastic case and the only thing that reminds me it's not new is that there appear to be places in the case for additional accessories, which didn't come with this unit. You do however get the plastic piece which fits underneath, to protect the wood from getting scratched, and a clear plastic piece that fits around the blade to prevent splintering. I didn't care for the clear plastic piece, it gets filled up with sawdust making it nearly impossible to see exactly where the blade is in relation to the line you're cutting along.One of my favorite features is that if you press the trigger in just a little bit, the blade moves very slowly; press it in all the way, you've got full speed. Makes it more controllable when starting a cut. If I do have one gripe, it's that it's a bit difficult to see where the blade is - you need to lean either in front of it or off to the side in order to see where it is in relation to the line you want to cut along.Overall though it's smooth, powerful, and has been working great for me. Glad I bought it.

After 50 years of fighting loose jigsaw blade mounting screws or absurd mechanisms (the previous version of this product) Bosch finally came up with a fast and secure way of mounting blades. I have the older version of this tool with about one hour of use on it before the mounting mechanism broke, This version is a fine overall tool that I can actually use.

Had purchased a box store cheap jigsaw that was really a piece of junk. Base would not stay set, underpowered, and would not hold a straight line, not to mention it's inability to negotiate a curve cut. But this Bosch JS470ERT 7.0 Amp Top-Handle Jigsaw cuts like butter and handles with ease. My first oval cut (cutout for a lavatory sink in a countertop) impressed me. Not only did it cut to the line, but I did not have to sand or clean up the cut, because it was so smooth.Highly recommend.

So far this has been a great buy! It was packaged in an original box and looks brand new even though we chose the the certified refurbished tool. So happy with the price and the jigsaw!

Great price for the reconditioned model. It sucks that it didn't come with a blade, like every other saw does.

I’ve owned and used other jigsaws, and they worked ok, but it was usually never a pleasant experience.This Bosch actually makes using a jigsaw a pleasure. It’s quiet, incredibly smooth, and has power to spare. My hand doesn’t get numb after extensive use, and my ears aren’t ringing afterwards. I can’t imagine a better saw.And for a factory refurb, I couldn’t tell it from a new one.If you’re on the fence, climb over and just buy this.

Not big on refurbished products because I haven't had a lot of luck with them. However, this product is still working like new even after using it for cutting fiber cement board. Needed a jigsaw for just this 1 job and wanted to save some money. Hopefully, it will be a good tool for many years to come.
