No, you download the config software and change the devices IP to a number on the same subnet as your PC is on. So 192,168.1.200 (if your Router uses 192.168.1.1)

Q: What are the physical dimensions of the 8 port switch in mm? I rarely find the Amazon dimensions accurate and need to determine if it will fit my use

Not sure why Amazon thinks I have bought one of these, (other 1100 switches but not this one) - but a quick check on D-Links website and then looking at the Specs gives this size: 171 x 97.8 x 28.6 mm Hope that helps

Not tried it myself but yes there are configuration options to do rate limiting input and output per port at different fixed rates between 8kb and up to 512Mb.

Q: Is this made in China?

On the bottom of mine it states "Made in Taiwan" - hope that helps
