Perfect for new grad RN
Im a new grad ER and this was on the top of the list of suggested reading by our educator. Lots of good info and rationale for things we see all the time and lots of things we don't. Definitely worth the read and keeping it handy after for a refresher.

Cuts the Fluff-Just what you need to know
This is a great book. Direct to the point and easy to understand. Gives you what you need to know neat and organized. I am starting my last clinical rotation this semester as a student nurse and was placed in the ER. Feel a little less nervous now that I used this to brush up right before I start.

Common sense
I have been a nurse for 12 yrs in different roles. Most recently took an ER position and bought this in hopes to open my mindset to quick thinking ER stuff. The chapter on ABG’s is good because it’s something I haven’t used often in my past roles. Most of what is covered is basic common sense for seasoned nurses. Did I learn stuff yes, was I expecting more yes.

Great for a new grad in the ER!
Very helpful for a new grad. Might be a little common knowledge for a seasoned nurse but there are quick references and summaries on a lot of important topics. Drugs references. Helpful insight to interpret lab values. Even includes a recommended skills checklist to go thru with your preceptor. Would recommend!
