Can this be used for a granite countertop with a honed finish (matte, not glossy)?

Yes. My quartzite is leathered and it looks more like a honed/matte finish and the Van's work's great. It probably works better on a honed than polished surface. The honed may absorb a bit. But the Van's stuff is more like a wax that lays on the surface. Just rub with a cloth until you get the desired look and feel. Lately I prefer my Method Daily Granite cleaner or Granite Gold Daily Cleaner. They are easier because you just spray and wipe and they smell wonderful. The Van's is more for if your counter looks dry and seems porus (which may happen with honed finishes). Use the Vans sparingly or you'll be rubbing a long time to get the greasy feel off. I guess the Vans stuff is more for every now and then maintenance. I wouldn't want to use it each day like i do with the Method or Granite Gold...plus the daily cleaners and daily wiping add a slight sheen over time. Enjoy!

Do I use this before or after I seal my concrete countertops?

Daddy vans is the sealer for your concrete countertops. It needs to be reapplied to your concrete countertops every 4-6weeks. I reapply after wiping down tops every so often.
