To complete home security I’ve placed these in the bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room. For the low price, if you locate correctly, these can give you peace of mind. Leaks can cost thousands. Easy to add to the app.

Works well with the whole simply safe system, if you already have them. Tested, and detected water when encounter and will notify the system as intended. We use this next to our fish tank. Small price to pay for whole house water damage.

I bought several water sensor alarms to go with my Simplisafe security system after an unnoticed water leak destroyed a large portion of my floors and I had to sign over my firstborn to get everything fixed and renovated (kidding, but it was legitimately very bad). I’m nervous about unknown water leaks now and have these sensors near any area where a potential leak could occur. You DO need the Simplisafe security system set up for these to work, they are not a standalone product. Setup is pretty straightforward using the Simplisafe app.I tested each of them upon sitting up by dropping a tablespoon of water right next to them, and as the water quickly crept under the sensor, I immediately received phone alerts, text alerts, and home security base began verbally notifying me of a water sensor activation. I picked the sensor up, wiped all the water off, and the sensor turned itself off and was good to use again.I love the peace of mind these are providing. Now I don’t have to continually check multiple locations in my house for water leaks since these will be monitoring for me. I have sensors under my toilet (in crawlspace), next to the furnace, under the sinks, and under the dishwasher. Highly recommend.

My water heater in the garage had a leak and the SimpliSafe alarm went off alerting me to the water sensor. We were able to turn off the water heater before any real damage was done. Our plumber came out and thought we were using his water sensors, which he highly recommends using, but the SimpliSafe one worked great. I ordered several more for anywhere in the house that has the potential for water leaks.

Ordered 3 of these sensors. Two worked fine but one came with a dead battery. Not sure why they come with battery already in place.
