Fox Valley Day-One Kitten Formula, 3.5 lb

Absolutely an excellent and affordable kitten formula!! It mixes easily & completely without glumps and foster kittens like the taste and take right to it. Incredible weight gains giving newborns a healthy start. The only issues we've had were hard, pellet like stools that made stimulated defecation difficult for the babies but an adjustment to the ratio of formula to water corrected that problem. Prompt shipping which is valuable if you needed the product yesterday. I've only used it for one litter but this is a formula I will use again and I highly recommend--just pay close attention to the texture of the kitten's stools and adjust your formula as necessary.

I have 5 foster kittens I am feeding. This is the best. No clumping and a better value than other brands I have tried. Very easy to measure and make. I have learned to make it in a 1/2 pint canning jar so it is easier to mix. Kittens love it. Will be my go to for all future fosters…

I love this formula. I rehab on the side and I have used it for bats, squirrels, opossums and kittens. They LOVE it. I recently had kittens that refused KMR and as soon as they tried this it was smooth sailing. They have gained proper weight including the runts I get. Ot also smells amazing. Most of the milk replacements smell like poison to me. This smells like something i would drink😂(but not really)

This is an excellent product. Much more affordable. I could see a difference in weight gain and stool. My 7 rescue kittens really perked up when I switched to the Fox Valley Day One. The runt started gaining weight too. The powder is very fine and mixes easily. Great packaging and a great product! Thank you!!

It smells nice and the kittens really thrived on it! It also mixes up easier than KMR. If I end up with bottle babies again, this will be my go to!

KMR was my go to until I noticed they changed the packaging. This usually means ingredients have changed. There was always a great deal of ingredients and never knew what most of them were. This time they added a preservative that wasn't there before. Forgive me now because I forgot which one, but I just remember being upset because I myself avoid foods with that preservative. In hindsight, KMR, wasn't healthy for the kittens. They would have digestive issues, especially painful bowel movements with screaming and diarrhea.I searched every milk replacement on the market and found this brand, with limited ingredients and no preservatives. Although I haven't had to bottle feed a kitten since buying it, I do give it to the pregnant mothers and the others in my colony. It's a good way to administer some deworming for them. For those who don't know, you can use the human liquid dewormer, Pyrantel Pamoate 50 mg/ml. The dosing is 0.1 ml for every pound. An 8 lb cat would get 0.8 ml, 10 lb- 1.0 ml etc. This is the dewormer the vets use and you can buy it hear on Amazon.What I love about this milk replacement is it dissolves so easily. No stubborn large clumps. It doesn't provide long term storage instructions once opened, so I decided to try the KMR method of storing in freezer for up to 6 months. I'm a few months in and it's still good.I hope this review has helped some of you, at the very least, make you aware of the harmful ingredients in these products.

Fox Valley Day-One formulas are the best! I have been using their formulas for various orphaned species of wildlife for 10+ years now. I don't have to do any measuring or mixing or adding anything to it like I have to do with other brands of formulas because Fox Valley is already measured and mixed and includes the correct amount of fats, proteins, etc in their formulas . And best of all they offer species specific formulas. I will be a lifelong customer as long as I am working in wildlife rescue & rehab.

The formula is great, mixes easily and grows healthy kittens! (please note: just mix up what you can use in one feeding. Don't refrigerate and never microwave any kitten formula.)
