After going through a bunch of bottled tonic water of the years and wasting far too much of it, I decided to make my own tonic syrup and the recipe for this was very extensive. I was able to find just about everything I needed and several of the ingredients were esoteric herbs. Cardamom seeds were just one of them. These were fresh and pungent and perfect for my recipe. They arrived very quickly and I'm very happy with them.The tonic syrup came out excellent!

Purchased to make my own chai tea. This has worked perfectly. Love the resealable bag for storage. Smells delicious and has great health benefits.

Surprisingly, though these cardamom pods smell fresh and fragrant, their scent is very different from the warm and mellow scent of other organic cardamom pods I've been buying for years. These cardamom pods have a sharper, almost peppery scent. But as I usually just crush a few pods to add to my coffee while brewing, I didn't think the unexpected scent would be an issue. And it wasn't -- my coffee tasted delicious. But I'll be interested in whether the peppery scent persists when I grind the seeds for use in sweet things like cakes and cardamom cookies. As noted in the product descriptions, the pods are larger and more plump than those I've bought in the past, and they appear to be fresh, and good value as well. I was just surprised when I opened the package to not be greeted by the usual cardamom scent that's a major part of the spice's appeal for me, which is why I gave them only four stars.

As described and good product. I think next time I'll order without shells, but I open the shells and throw into my tea, yummy!

I make tea with these pods, and they add a citrus/cinnamon flavor. Cardamom is also good in apple pie, but don't overdo it.

I had high expectations for this cardamom based on the product description, but unfortunately, it fell short. The pods were dry and lacked the rich aroma and flavor I associate with fresh cardamom. Additionally, the pod sizes were inconsistent, with some being unusually small while others were large and unevenly shaped. This made it difficult to use for precise recipes.To make matters worse, a few pods were broken or discolored, which made me question the quality and freshness of the product. For the price, I was expecting much better. I wouldn’t recommend this and will look for a more reliable brand in the future.
