I’m not sure how people get these assembled inside of the vent but I never was able to get the put together, the pieces fell into the vent.Need a better clip on option.

This arrives in four pieces.snapping the hinge pieces together isn’t too hard. The metal tension piece won’t stay in place during install so I put a little glue on one end.Mounting to the vent is the hardest step. You’ll need to take the vent out of the dash. (There are instructional videos on YouTubes for this.) The cover and hinge pieces are a “really” tight.fit and slide around when applying the required pressure to connect. I tried many times at many angles to no avail. In the end, I lined up the pieces, wrapped zip ties on each side of the clip to hold the cover to the hinge, then was able to push a screwdriver on the hinge (from back of vent), with one hand, against cover with my other hand.Tools I used:Small screwdriver and an auto trim removal tool (to remove vent)GlueSmall needle nose pliers (to position hinge piece inside vent)2 small zip tiesMedium size screwdriver (to apply pressure through back of vent to back of hinge)

This is much harder than it looks. There’s no instruction manual and not much on YouTube for this specific vent tab. You have to remove the chrome cover first. That’ll make it much easier.

Exactly like the original vent clip, a little hard to install but if you are persistent and good at fiddling around with the two pieces it can be done.
