We use them on our SAR team to help our litter attendants position themselves in relation to the litter for high-angle rescues. They're super light, so they don't add weight to the gear we have to carry up the hills, and they work well when needed.

Made a knee ascender with this and a rope grabber. It works well and seems high quality.

I use these in conjunction with my Petzl hand ascenders. You can also be a monkey. Toss your weight and line. Pull rope over tree. Fly up any tree when used with proper gear.
