I would rank it as standard/normal compared to other guns I have or have used. At the top, where the base of your thumb knotches into the back handle and your index finger wraps around to squeeze the front handle, it measures 2.75 inches. Keep in mind that the mechanical advantage on this gun makes it much easier to squeeze than many others.
