My kid loves it
My 6 year old daughter looooves it. She asked for a small guitar but not a toy, so it's a perfect solution. Im not sure about using it as a real ukulele and if it sounds like a real one, but for first classes its ok. And of course it has this nice bag )))

Good beginner Ukulele for the price
I wanted to get this to tinker around with and maybe get my daughter to pick up as well. We have a pool and I thought that this would be fun to play waterside. I didn't want to make much of an investment and $36 seemed like not much of a risk.It was not a prime item so it took 6 days to arrive but it was Free Shipping. That is cool. The ukulele was well packed and upon opening it, I felt that I got my money's worth. It was wrapped in plastic and came with a fabric (non-padded) carry case, one extra string, a small digital tuner (battery included) and a single red pick. The ukulele was already loosely pre-strung.I installed the battery in the tuner. The + side of the battery faces out. And then I selected"U" for ukulele tuning of four strings. The top string is regarded as the 4th string and is "G." The second from the top is the 3rd string and is "C." The second from the bottom is the 2nd string "E." And the bottom string is the 1st string "A." You must wind the NYLON strings tightly and keep strumming the single string you want to tune until the desired letter on the tuner glows green for the particular string. I like the tuner; it is preset for bass, guitar, ukulele, chromatic, and wind instruments. You just have to select the right option. Read the included directions as they are pretty straight forward; they are in English and Chinese only.I have been watching Youtube videos on playing. I have noticed that the top frets are smaller (not as wide) as the ones in the video so I am thinking that this is intended for younger players with smaller fingers. I make due though. I am learning some songs and I hear some resemblance of what I'm trying to play. It is an interesting venture. I feel it is more my lack of rhythm than the performance capabilities of the little blue ukulele that is making the house go nuts. I'm trying...I feel that I'm re tuning the strings often; one instructor said that this is normal until the strings get worked in. We'll see. This is a introductory instrument and It cost as much as taking the family to dinner at Taco Bell and this seems just as tasty but for a longer period of time. There is the adage: "you get what you pay for," and I paid for a beginning instrument to practice and fart around with to see if I would like to keep up the hobby and this suits that purpose. I am happy over all.

Perfect For Beginners!! PLEASE READ
The media could not be loaded. This Ukulele is perfect! It sounds nice and is easy to hold and use. The video is from a few weeks ago, so I played it pretty bad 😅 I'm much better at it now. I've seen a few reviews saying how the ukulele doesn't stay tuned and it has plastic strings. THIS IS NORMAL! That's how a ukulele is supposed to be. The "plastic " or nylon strings give the ukulele its iconic sound, it also keeps the uke from getting damaged. The reason the ukulele keeps untuning is because the strings need time to stretch and settle properly. Give it a few weeks and it should be fine. If you tune it and play it often, the strings should settle faster. Please do actually research on stuff like this to minimize confusion and disappointment. Hope this helps!

Strings
Unfortunately it came with one of the strings strung incorrectly and it doesn’t make any sound.

A Fabulous startup Ukulele for kids!
Out of all the ukuleles I looked at on Amazon this is by far the best for a kid 7 & up! The quality is excellent for the price. It stays in tune after a few days of tuning when the strings have settled in place. Be patience. It is great that it has pegs that hold the strings into the bridge rather than having to loop and tie the strings in. I am a musician who plays string instruments and in a short time I was having fun playing tunes on this. I got the ice blue color for my grandson who is 7 and my grand niece a black one. The soft case that came with it is super in quality and not just a piece of plastic. Also, the add tuner that came with it is simple for even a kid to use. Sure this isn't a high end one by far but one that won't be tossed aside like a toy one would. I am looking forward to Christmas morning!!
