Great Bike Rack at a Great Price
Once I figured out how to install this rack on my Tesla Model 3, (the pictorial instructions need improvement), I really loved the rack. It is sturdy, light weight, foldable and small for storing in the trunk or garage when you don't need it. It shouldn't take long to install, after your first install. I like the orange cushioned brackets that fit under the bottom edge of the trunk and rests on the bumper. The upper strap brackets are also coated. Although they fit under the top edge of the trunk, they don't make contact with the outside of the trunk, if the straps are properly tightened. These brackets are made to protect your paint. (See photos)Other reviewers expressed concern about the springs in the tightening buckles perhaps slipping and allowing the straps to loosen while driving. . I found a simple solution.Just take the excess strap and wrap it snugly around the tightened strap next to the buckle. Tuck the end under one of the loops in the wrap. Now, even if you press on the buckle release, the strap won't loosen, until you unwrap the excess. I would suggest doing this wrapping only after your bike is secured on the rack and you have done another tightening of the straps. Check that the rack won't move away from the trunk, either side to side, or up and down. If so, you have done it right. But it is still a good idea to stop after a few miles of driving, to check everything one final time and tighten, again if needed. Now enjoy your drive.

Stellar product!
I've driven 1,000 miles in a day with this bike mount twice now. Over the 15 hours, I experienced pouring rain, 80+mph speeds, winding mountain roads, 100 degree as well as freezing temps. Straps didn't loosen and the mount didn't even move a centimeter. With the extra red strap, the bike doesn't move AT ALL while driving either. No damage on neither bike nor car. So impressed!Easy to install on my Toyota Corolla by myself. I didn't cut the excess strap off so I could continue to use it on any car and simply used the rubber bands from the packaging to contain the excess (no flapping straps).Mine goes in the trunk when not in use for longevity purposes, but the mount is light enough that you are still able to open the trunk if you are planning on keeping it on full-time. However, the weight of my bike and the mount means I can't open the trunk with the bike still loaded (just plan ahead).I agree with previous reviewers that it would be nice if there was a way to secure the bike to the mount. But I'm not sure there's really a way to work around this in terms of design. A knife to the straps would make easy work of stealing the bike. For my long-haul trips, I slipped a lock around the frame with a chain through the tires. At least this way it looks secure, makes it impossible to ride off on my bike, and the thief would still have to deal with a Kryptonite lock/chain. It's not bulletproof, but, since most thefts are of convenience, gives me peace of mind.

Easy enough to use
I've found this quite easy to setup and have been able to use it to transport 3 bikes, 2 adult and 1 kids bike. Even though it's advertised as 4 I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable that it's strong enough to hold that much weight. It would be tricky to maneuver all the bikes into properly fitting together also. The only downside to this are the clips that hold it to the car. The first few times I was very nervous the top 2 clips would detach from the car because really the only thing holding them in place is a slight curve in the metal and the proper placement of the rubber mat. If even one of these slipped off the car you'd lose all your bikes I imagine. Also the other end of the strap is only held in place by a spring clip, while very sturdy makes for several single points of failure. For the price though you can't beat this to hold more than 2 bikes.

Sturdy & well made auto bike fr
Succeeded where others did not. The arms on this rack were long enough and stuck out sufficiently for the bike to hang properly and clear the rear bumper. Rack was sturdy and well made. Maybe it was me, but I found the directions to not be as clear as they could have been.

Straps loosen easily, straps to secure bikes are very stiff
I’m using it on a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. Well made. Came assembled. There’s a strap that loops around the rack and the frame of the bike which holds the bike to the rack and can be looped through the wheels to hold the front wheel and fork steady and away from the car. Some things I don’t care for.1) the car mounting straps loosen up during use. The straps that loosen are ones that attach to the bottom and sides of trunk.2) The cradles slide easily. Other bike racks that I have had also had cradles that moved but it took a lot of force to move them. These cradles slip and slide with very little force.3) The straps on the cradles which secure the bike frame to the rack are made of very, very hard rubber. They are quite difficult to attach over the frame - very stiff. Slightly less stiff if they have been in the sun on a warm day, but still a time consuming challenge.4) There is a link to a video on the Tyger brand website about the pros, cons, uses, and installation of bike racks, but, although it is helpful, the video is aimed at bike racks in general and not specific to this rack. I’ve seen other videos for other brands which are about the exact rack you bought, and the videos show how to attach that rack to different models of cars in different ways. That would have been helpful.
