Can't handle much current.
I bought this to add a key ignition to my kid's ride on toy car. Seemed perfect and worked at first. Then both kids were on going up hill. The motors must have been pulling max amps from the battery and it quit running. Checked the wiring and this switch had melted out. I'll have to buy a different one that can handle a bit more current. Also, it's not threaded and there isn't much to keep this from turning in the hold, just a tiny little extra plastic tab. I wound up epoxying it in place so that it would stay put (which will make my replacement job even more fun).If you need a simple switch for a basic application, this is fine.Lastly, just for the record this is about the easiest "ignition" to hotwire in the world, so I would not recommend this for anything you really need to have key protected!

Incorrect Design
I bought this for my minibike build, because it would add a nice little sense of realism using an actual key start, instead of a button. The product came neatly packaged, simple design, and was cheap to buy. I had incorrectly bought the female connector instead of the male, but I simply Swapped the connector for another one I had that was male. Wired it up, and nothing happened. After much head knocking, I discovered the switch only allows current to pass through when the key is in the OFF position! At first, I thought it was just the plastic had been misprinted. But this key has a fancy design, where it locks the key in when it's in the IGNITION position. So when it's in the OFF position, you can start the bike WITHOUT the key, and you also cannot remove the key when it's in the IGNITION position, meaning there's no way to leave the switch in unpowered safely. Which makes the whole thing useless. You would have to use a normally closed relay to make it function correctly, but that's a lot more wires, time, and money for something that wouldn't need it, if it was made correctly. For me, being an electrician, it was hilarious that the first one was like this. For my build, it was frustrating, because the second one, was also like this. I think I'll stick to my button, because at least it requires someone to press the right button, which at least requires some brain power, that unfortunately whomever made this, does not have. God bless.

Terrible
One came defective, with a dented-up back-panel that indicated it had been either installed improperly or refurbished and mishandled during the process. The other one, died after 10 mins of use. Seems the negative wire was not soldered well and it dislocated. Not a whole lot of room to re-solder without touching the other terminal. So very disappointed in these.

Fails when it gets wet, not suitable for outside environments
I bought 2 2-packs, for a total of 4 switches. Of these, only 1 still works. I installed them in Razor Dune Buggy instead of the standard on/off switch to deter people from riding off with them. If you are going to use it in something that will get rained on, look elsewhere.
