This stuff is great and is a food grade so that you can use it on chopping blocks, wooden utensils, etc. I am not sure that I would "waste" it on a table that doesn't require food grade. It also leaves a little bit of a film, so there is that to consider. Although maybe the residual is the same as using a wood paste wax; I'm not sure.
