The spin is good, the lack of movement in all directions is good. The item is solid, a good balanced weight. Used it tonight for my workout and it works well. I bought synergee clamps so cannot comment on the originals. Item is well made, and high quality. No blemishes etc. Packaging was excellent. Shipping incredibly quick. I ordered it on the Sat in the evening and got it Mon afternoon.

I was conflicted on the $80 price tag but I also didn't want to buy adjustable dumbbells because I already have plenty of weights, and adjustable ones seem a bit too bulky. The quality of these dumbbells are great, they feel very nice and sturdy in your hands. The main problem I have with these dumbbells, is that the ends are pointy so it's tough to rest them on your knees before tossing them up when you're about to lean back for a chest press, or doing a seated shoulder press. You basically have to pick them up, sit down and then immediately fall backwards or try to rest them awkwardly in between your legs without pinching your skin. This might not be an issue if you aren't planning to go too heavy, but personally when I'm done doing a chest press I sit upright and immediately toss them on the floor just so I don't have to place them on my knees. The black mats I'm using are from Amazon called "Rubber Cal Eco-Sport Floor Tile", they absorb all of the impact so I'm not too worried about damaging the floor. Another minor issue is the length of the dumbbells, when doing pressing movements I have to angle my hands a bit to make sure the ends don't bump into each other. Btw if you're looking for weights and don't want to pay $10 per lb or whatever crazy price, I ordered mine from northern fitness's website... they smell funny for a few days but hey I'd rather have stinky weights than overpriced weights.

Absolutely no regrets purchasing these handles. They are sturdy, durable and get the job done. People complain about the collars but honestly, they are not bad at all. They can definitely secure the plates and I've had no issues with them. Great overall product.These are overpriced now because fitness equipment is in high demand...but if you can find them for around $70 CAD each, it is your best bet for today's pricing. Do not buy from third party sellers who try to double the profit off that price.
