We got this to replace a major name brand keypad deadbolt that was still working fine, but the finish had gotten bad and we wanted a new look (went from brass to satin nickel). We like this lock much better than the one we removed, and the Teeho is around half the price, even though it has many more features. Operation is pretty straightforward. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly so far. I like that it can hold so many fingerprints - way more than you'll need. I scanned several of my fingers so if I have one hand full I can use a different finger on a different hand. Very handy. I like the auto-lock feature also. Install was pretty easy, but you do have to make sure everything is perfectly aligned for it to work smoothly. The latch on our door was recessed a little too far so it didn't match either of the two setback distances perfectly. It was off by just enough that the operation wanted to bind, and it was difficult to operate. I had to put some washers behind the latch plate to shim it out just a bit, then it worked perfectly. The manual latch operator on the inside of the door is plastic. Would have preferred it to be metal. That's my only real minor gripe with it.

Easy to install, program, and use. I read a lot of the reviews and there was one about it running out of battery fast. I think it’s been 6 or 7 months now and I haven’t had to change the batteries. Because of these reviews I decided to silent the sound. There is an option for silent mode. It still makes sounds when people are putting their code or print. A big plus for me was not having to give my teen son a key. He could had lost it. Also people like my ex can harass him take the key and make copies . Which happened that’s why I got this lock. One of the best investment I ever made.

*I’m increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the company reached out to me and apologized for the problems I was having. First they offered a refund, then ignored that offer, sent a new unit instead. If they had provided the refund they initially offered I would have given 5 stars for excellent customer service in standing by their product. I would suggest to the company not to offer a refund then ignore it! I do consider myself lucky though to even get a replacement unit since I was well beyond the 30 day return window. So many others weren’t so lucky. Hopefully this new unit will perform better!————————This was great at first. It seems well made, is fairly easy to install (but we have done quite a few in the past), looks good, has simple controls and clear, easy to press manual buttons. But it locks way too fast and we have tried making the waiting time longer but it always seems to reset back to the minimum which is like five seconds, and the sequence of codes you have to enter to program this thing are ridiculous. If we don’t immediately close the door it will go crazy trying to lock over and over. It’s so annoying. It should have a bypass button, especially when you’re going to be in and out a lot working in the yard, etc. I was going to buy another one for our other door but not now.I want to note that we haven’t experienced the battery issues so many other reviewers have mentioned, and we’ve never been locked out due to malfunction!

I highly recommend this lock. I have trouble turning a key with my arthritic hands, this can be programmed witha fingerprint or enter a code, both are extremely easy. Works and looks great.

Easy to install and works well. I have used it for awhile and still works. Just need to make sure to change the battery so you don’t get a surprised dead lock.

I installed this Teeho lock on the front door of our house two and a half years ago. It's okay, but there are better functioning locks available than this one.Everyone in my family has their fingerprint stored in the lock, but none of us ever use it because it might work about 10% of the time (on a good day). We just get frustrated by the constant red flashing lights and beeping when it doesn't recognize any of our fingers. We have other devices in our home that use fingerprints to unlock and we do not have any issues getting them to work, so I know it's not a matter of not knowing how to properly store our prints. It's an issue of this lock having a low quality sensor that's extremely finicky.There's supposed to be an alert that lets you know when the batteries are getting low, but it hasn't worked since the first battery change. The only way we know it's time to replace them now is when we try to enter our numeric code and nothing happens. No lights, no sound, just dead and locked out of the house. It's quite frustrating.The lock is okay as long as you're fine with entering a numeric code to unlock it, you don't plan on using fingerprints to unlock it, and you don't mind being surprised every time the batteries die without warning and you are locked out of your house.I wouldn't buy this brand again personally. There's likely a good reason they are now selling it for nearly $30 less than what I paid for it over two years ago.
