They’re Nikon Monarchs, so they’re great.
The product is great— if you order Nikon Monarch 5, you know that already. Hunting groups often devolve to brand loyalist arguments when talking about gear (“My brand of truck is better than yours, because only sissies drive what you bought…”), so I turned to the other group known to rely on good optics: birders/birdwatchers. They all recommend Nikon unless you want to spend over $1k. So… I bought my first Nikon Monarch binoculars 15 years ago, and have dragged them through the mountains and brush of Montana, Idaho, and Washington, and they’re still going strong: crystal clear, crisp, bright, dependable. I just got tired of trying to remember if I had thrown them in my hunting pack or left them in the truck, so I bought a new pair and a chest rig— the old ones will remain in the truck. Problem solved. The seller delivered as promised: product as described, good price, quick shipping. Absolute perfection.

Great binoculars
We have lots of wildlife in our backyard, and we have been using our Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars. They have been great, but we wanted a little more distance to look at the birds across the lake. The Nikon 10x42 binoculars give us the extra viewing we wanted with minimal added weight. Great product!

Good but not Great, however disappointing.
After reviewing multiple opinions and considering my novice status, I opted for the Nikon Monarch M5 10x42 binoculars instead of the ZEISS Terra ED 10x42, primarily influenced by a review suggesting that a professional comparison favored ZEISS mainly due to brand reputation. However, I decided to order the ZEISS for a personal evaluation, as the Nikons appeared similar to a pair I purchased two decades ago for $40. Upon conducting my own side-by-side comparison, the difference was striking; the ZEISS offered exceptional clarity, quality, and brightness, while the Nikon fell short with darker images and poor clarity. This experience has left me puzzled as to why the professional review attributed the ZEISS's superiority solely to its name. For those with Nikon binoculars, it might be best to avoid comparing them to ZEISS, as sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

The best field use for sharp clarity and real colors.
The Nikon Monarch M5 is the best clear bright lenses for clarification of birds and animals butterflies and for flowers. My brother showed me his and I just had one. WOW!!! Reasonable price too

It is what it is
The Nikon Monarch M5 10x42 was compared to the Zeiss Terra ED 10x42. Long story short. The author's opinion slightly favored the Monarch M5 but declared the winner Zeiss because it's a Zeiss. This was the second Monarch 5 I've bought. This one was for my son. Originally was I was going to buy the Zeiss as an upgrade for myself and give the Monarch 5 to my son. Why? Because it's a Zeiss and cost 1.75 X more than the Monarch 5. The article convinced me that this wasn't a 240 buck upgrade. So my son got a new Monarch 5 for around 256 while the Zeiss was around 499. Better luck next time Carl.

Handy binoculars
The Monarch M5 binoculars have a very clear, crisp view. They are small and very convenient to carry when we are out walking in the woods to observe birds or animals.
