It’s like stepping on a lego! But for cats!
Our cat that we love SO much was scratching the back of our new couches. For months we tried everything to make her stop! Nothing was working. I bought 2 packages of these mats and lined them behind our two couches. She despises them! The spikes are NOT painful to the touch, but are uncomfortable when stepped on. I imagine for her it’s what it’s like for me when I step on a Lego. I don’t enjoy stepping on Legos, and she definitely doesn’t enjoy stepping on the spikes.

Won't hurt your pets
I love these mats. I can finally have my couch without a bedspread over it in my living room. Really keeps the cats off of the furniture. Does not harm my pets, if they do walk on them.
